Abstract: A brake beam wear plate assembly for a railway car truck sideframe is provided. A brake beam wear plate is provided and adapted to be inserted in a brake beam guide which is typically an integral component of a railway car truck sideframe. The brake beam wear plate itself is comprised of a channel shaped body having an upper wall, a lower wall, and a bottom wall. The brake beam wear plate is typically comprised of a polymer or a high density plastic. The brake beam wear plate also includes a projecting locating tab and the brake beam guide itself includes a complimentary cutout section.

Abstract: A system includes a capture system, a storage system, and a return system. The capture system is configured to receive an outlet gas from a gasification system and to extract a component gas of the outlet gas using a regenerable material during a start-up operation of the gasification system. The storage system is coupled to the capture system and is configured to store the component gas extracted by the capture system. The return system is configured to return the component gas from the storage system to the gasification system during a normal operation of the gasification system.

Abstract: A fully collaborative software management method allows creating, printing, delivering and hanging-in-stores a sequential arrangement of shelf information tags. Customer and printer computers are operably connected to communicate during a design and assembly stage of developing the tags. Customer decision-makers and printer decision-makers collaborate on template authoring, content and template management, printing-event construction, staging and proofing, including integration of various elements such as stored data, timing, customer-driven controls, and event-driven controls. The method allows printer decision-makers to operate a publishing engine that permits viewing the customized information tags as a display prior to viewing as a printed product.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method for forming microporous membranes. More specifically, vapor induced phase separation techniques are used for forming multizone microporous membranes having improved material throughput.

Abstract: Provided is one embodiment of a semiconductor structure that includes a STI feature, wherein the STI feature is a continuous feature and includes a first portion in a first region and a second portion in a second region, and the first portion is recessed relative to the second portion; an active region bordered by the STI feature; a gate stack disposed on the active region and extended in a first direction to the first region of the STI feature; source and drain features formed in the active region and interposed by the gate stack; and a channel formed in the active region and spanned between the source and drain features in a second direction being different from the first direction. The channel includes top portion having a width W in the first direction and two side portions each having a height H less than the width W.

Abstract: An integrated circuit includes a plurality of transistors. Each transistor is associated with a corresponding body terminal. At least one transistor is reverse biased at a first voltage level, and at least one other transistor is reverse biased at a second voltage level that is different from the first voltage level. Each body terminal is electrically isolated from every other body terminal via an isolation barrier. A transistor that is reverse biased at the first voltage level is electrically connected to a transistor that is reverse biased at the second voltage level, such that the electrically connected transistors operate to interact with each other while the respective body voltage levels are different from each other and are changing independently of each other during operation of the integrated circuit.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a browser-engine mode switching method and a browser, wherein said method comprises: building a feature library which includes a corresponding relation between each type of web page internal information and the matching engine mode; when the browser has opened a web page in the current engine mode, collecting at least one type of web page internal information of said web page and switching to the matching engine mode with reference to the feature library. The present invention can effectively detect on which kind of core the current web page is based so as to switch the browser to the corresponding engine mode.

Abstract: A method of lithography patterning includes forming a first etch stop layer, a second etch stop layer, and a hard mask layer on a material layer. The materials of the first etch stop layer and the second etch stop layer are selected by the way that there is a material gradient composition between the second etch stop layer, the first etch stop layer, and the material layer. Hence, gradient etching rates between the second etch stop layer, the first etch stop layer, and the material layer are achieved in an etching process to form etched patterns with smooth and/or vertical sidewalls within the second and the first etch stop layers and the material layer.

Abstract: An improved method is provided for the quantitative analysis of mixtures including various sugars, sugar alcohols and related dehydration products, whereby these are enabled to be effectively and accurately quantitated through gas chromatography, for example, by their derivatization with a carboxylic acid, carboxylic acid anhydride or halide in the presence of a metal triflate catalyst. The method can be carried out at essentially room temperature conditions, with a sufficiently rapid and complete derivatization, even in the presence of substantial amounts of water, that the materials to be quantitated do not substantially break down or degrade and substantially completely accounted for in a derivatized form.

Abstract: A system is provided for controlling a powered unit having an engine configured to operate using a plurality of fuel types each in a corresponding fuel tank. The system includes a controller operable to transmit a first set of control signals including a first set of valve signals to the each fuel tank based at least in part on a first stored engine operating profile to control amounts of fuel from each fuel tank to the engine. The controller can transmit a second set of control signals including a second set of valve signals to each fuel tank based at least in part on a second stored engine operating profile to control amounts of fuel from each fuel tank to the engine. Further, the controller can switch, by transmitting either the first set of control signals or the second set of control signals, between a first operating condition associated with a first external domain and a second condition associated with a second external domain.

Abstract: A system and a method are provided that may be used to control the temperature of steam being reheated by a moisture separator reheater (MSR). One embodiment provides a system including a steam turbine, a moisture separator reheater coupled to the steam turbine, and a controller programmed to control a temperature of steam leaving the moisture separator reheater based at least in part on sensor feedback. The controller is programmed to facilitate substantially smooth linear temperature ramping.

An activation component is provided within the virtual closet widget to configure a panel. The panel provides a selectable catalog of items that are configured to be added into the outfit data. In response to adding an item, a visual indication of the item on the virtual closet widget is provided, wherein the item comprises at least one unset attribute for setting through the virtual closet.

An oil-in-water sunscreen cosmetic composition comprising: (a) an aqueous dispersion of an oil-soluble ultraviolet absorbent; (b) one or two or more of crosslinked polyether-modified silicones and crosslinked alkyl polyether-modified silicones; (c) a low-viscosity silicone oil; and (d) water. The aqueous dispersion of the oil-soluble ultraviolet absorbent is preferably an aqueous dispersion of composite particles of bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine and an organic polymer. Furthermore, methylene bisbenzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol is preferably further added.

The recessed region extends opposite the spanwise direction from a platform plane that contains portions of the outer radial surface that are upstream and downstream from the recessed region. The recessed region is contiguous with an end wall of the platform and extends therefrom toward the airfoil. The recessed region defines a surface shape whose boundary is contained by the platform plane, and has a profile shape that extends from the end wall toward the airfoil.
