Abstract: Some systems described herein include a frequency dependent phase plate for generating multiple phase-contrast images of a sample, each from a different frequency range of light, each phase-contrast image for frequency range of light formed from light diffracted by the sample interfered with undiffracted light that has a frequency-dependent baseline relative phase shift from the phase plate. In some embodiments, the multiple phase-contrast images may be used to generate a quantitative phase image of a sample. The phase-contrast images or the produced quantitative phase image may have sufficient contrast for label-free auto-segmentation of cell bodies and nuclei.

Abstract: A one-piece seat back frame for a seat assembly and method of forming includes a first member and an opposed second member spaced a predetermined distance apart. A third member extends between the first and second members. A fourth member is spaced a predetermined distance from the third member and has an initial predetermined dimension that is over-sized a predetermined amount to form an excisable slip plane portion, and a final predetermined dimension after the excisable portion is removed and free ends rejoined, so that the one-piece seat back frame can be adjusted prior to rejoining the free ends. The methodology removes the excisable portion, attaches a component to the frame, aligns the component by manipulating the fourth member free ends in the slip plane and rejoins the fourth member tree ends.

Abstract: A system and method for a patch-like, self-contained substance infusion device which can be attached to a skin surface via an adhesive contact surface. A push button activation assembly can then be used to remove an interlock, allowing a disk or Belleville spring assembly to apply an essentially even and constant pressure to the contents of a fluid reservoir assembly. This allows the release of one or more spring-loaded patient needles into the skin surface, and establishes a fluid communication path between the patient needles and the pressurized fluid reservoir contents thereby delivering an infusion into the skin. The push button activation assembly further allows the release of one or more improved safety mechanisms after use.
