  • Patent number: 7195811
Abstract: A transfer capable of applying one- or multi-colored patterns to textiles under heat and pressure comprises a carrier sheet (1) having a non-binding surface which carries (a) a one- or multi-colored pattern (5) printed on the carrier sheet using a digitally controlled color printer; (b) a transparent (6) or white-pigmented (7) elastomer layer of a polymer having a high plasticizing point printed configuratively on the pattern (5); and (c) a heat-activatable thermoplastic polymeric glue layer (8) printed configuratively on the transparent (6) or white-pigmented (7) elastomer layer or a heat-activatable hot melt granulate sprinkled on the elastomer layer while said layer was still wet. An even better encapsulation of the colored pattern is obtained when the carrier sheet has printed thereon a first transparent elastomer layer of a polymer having a high plasticizing point, and the pattern is printed on this elastomer layer using a digitally controlled color printer.

  • Patent number: 7195178
Abstract: The invention concerns a cooling ceiling installation with at least one heat exchanger, a valve, which controls the flow of a heat transfer medium through the heat exchanger and a mechanical control device, and a monitoring device. It is endeavored to provide a simple manner of avoiding a condensate formation on the cooling ceiling installation. For this purpose, the monitoring device has an adjustment drive, which mechanically displaces the control device to a state, in which the valve is closed.

  • Publication number: 20070062633
Abstract: For use in the manufacture of reinforcement layers for flexible pipes which are capable of absorbing compressive or tensile forces, and which are used for the transport of oil and gas, a thermoplastic material is applied to a strength-imparting layer. The strength-imparting layers are reeled on reels, and following unreeling they are laminated by application of heat and in direct continuation applied to the flexible pipe. The strength-imparting layer expediently consists of a polymer which is reinforced with at least 20% by volume of fibres. The thermoplastic material is of a reversible type, i.e. it may change from being relatively soft, but non-sticky by changes in temperature. The use of the method according to the invention allows manufacture of very strong reinforcements for flexible pipes which cannot be manufactured using a solid material, such as steel, since high performing bending forces are required in the shaping.

  • Publication number: 20070066955
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus comprising a housing and a flexible reservoir adapted to contain a fluid and having a septum member formed from a needle-penetratable self-sealing material. The flexible reservoir is arranged within the housing in combination with mounting means arranged within or formed by the housing, wherein the mounting means engages the septum member to thereby mount the flexible reservoir relative to the housing. In this way a secure fixation between the reservoir and the housing is provided without having to interfere with the general flexibility of the reservoir, e.g. substantially the entire flexible reservoir apart from the outlet/mounting means may be arranged free to move relative to the housing, this allowing the reservoir to be emptied to a high degree.

  • Publication number: 20070061979
Abstract: A method, a system and a pelt board for the drying of the leather side of pelts from furred animals, in which the pelt board is a hollow distension element, the surface of which has an open structure. The the leather side is dried by changing the air within the distension element. The distension element is is lockable in a position in which it has a first circumference, and can also assume a position or be force controlled to a position in which it has a circumference which is smaller than the first, which results in a considerably easier removal of the pelt from the pelt board. A quicker, more uniform and more effective drying of the pelts is achieved, so that “black spots” on the leather side are avoided, and the pelt is fixed in its stretched position on the pelt board without the use of clips/staples.

  • Publication number: 20070062397
Abstract: The invention describes a sheet offset machine in which may be applied an air-drying ink/varnish. The invention furthermore concerns a drying unit that may be used for drying air-drying ink/varnish. The drying unit is disposed in connection with a cylinder surface and includes an integrated ventilator with suction and exhaust duct. These are used for sucking in fresh air and for exhausting used air having swept a wet print on the print carrier. The ventilator is connected to nozzles having an elongated nozzle orifice oriented in parallel with the center axis of the cylinder surface. The nozzle orifice is provided immediately opposite the cylinder surface for blowing an air stream towards counter pressure on the print carrier while it is disposed on the cylinder surface. By using such a system is achieved an efficient and energy economical drying of the applied inks/varnishes.

  • Patent number: 7193641
Abstract: A method of exposing imaging data onto a sensitized medium including exposing K sets of N of tracks on to the medium according to a corresponding part of imaging data, each successive set being a pixel distance apart in a fast scan direction. The method further includes exposing L sets of N tracks onto the medium with an offset of M pixels in a slow scan direction substantially perpendicular to the fast scan direction, according to a second corresponding part of imaging data. The method includes repeating alternately exposing K sets and L sets of N tracks until the complete medium is exposed along the fast scan direction. During or after the alternately exposing K sets and L sets, there is progression in the slow scan direction such that after exposing the complete length of N tracks of exposed pixels, the next N tracks match along the medium at the start of the next N tracks.
