Furthermore, it comprises an annular wall extending between the first end and the second end so as to form a chamber having a longitudinal axis, said annular wall and said ends having an inner surface and an outer surface, where said chamber comprises an inlet opening and an outlet opening, said openings being in fluid communication and defining a downstream direction from the inlet opening to the outlet opening. Furthermore, the wet-scrubber comprises a liquid distribution system comprising at least one liquid exit aperture for distributing a liquid film on the inner surface of the chamber. Finally, the wet-scrubber further comprises means arranged to rotate the liquid film on the inner surface of the annular wall relative to the annular wall.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for detecting particles, in particular parasites, in drinking water adapted to on-line application. In particular, the invention b) relates to a method for detecting parasites in water, said method comprising: Passing at least a part of the water through a filter; Applying indirect sonication with ultrasound to said filter to release parasites which have been collected in said filter without disrupting said parasites; Collecting parasites for detection; and Detecting the collected parasites. This serves to collect parasites in the filter and/or increase the concentration of parasites before the filter and/or disrupt aggregates without disrupting the parasites per se. The invention further relates to a concentration device for filter filtration concentration of particles from a volume of a fluid. The concentration device comprises an ultrasonic transducer that is configured to clean the filter.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a gymnastic accessory including a twisting ring with an external ring and an internal ring, wherein the two rings are concentrically connected and rotatable in relation to each other about a common axis, wherein the external ring typically includes two connecting devices that are arranged symmetrically at the outer periphery and adapted for joining with an unyielding or elastic rope. The second ring include connecting means at the periphery, the connecting means adapted for mounting of connecting elements for a twisting belt. The invention further concerns a method for reconfiguring such a gymnastic accessory.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of cutting off laminate layers for use in a fibre-reinforced laminate object comprising a number of combined laminate layers, wherein, along a section of the at least one rim of the laminate layer, a tapering cut is performed through the thickness of the laminate layer, whereby the thickness of the laminate layer is reduced. Since not only the number of laminate layers, but also the thickness of the individual laminate layers are reduced, a laminate layer is accomplished that can be used in a laminate object, by which both the issues of areas rich in resin, air pockets and the risk of delamination are reduced. The invention also relates to a laminate layer for use in a fibre-reinforced laminate object comprising a number of combined laminate layers and a fibre-reinforced laminate object in the form of the blade of a wind turbine, wherein the blade of the wind turbine comprises a number of combined laminate layers.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlled shutdown of wind turbines. The method involves using a generator side converter, and optionally a DC chopper, as a generator load during controlled shutdown. In this way gearbox back-lashing and drive train oscillations can be avoided. The present invention also relates to a wind turbine capable of performing controlled shutdown in accordance with the before-mentioned method.
