  • Patent number: 9059931
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method and to corresponding systems for visualizing an address space and for organizing automation-related data, wherein according to a first method variant the user interface of a display device of a computer system is divided into a plurality of configurable address space display regions. Each address space display region is divided into a first partial region and into a second partial region, wherein the address space display regions all represent a same address space that can be chosen by a user. In the first partial regions, the node network of the address space is visualized in different display modes. In the second partial regions, details of a node chosen by the user are displayed. When the user navigates in one of the first partial regions and carries out a change to the node network, the structure of the node network and relations between the nodes in all first partial regions are automatically synchronized.

  • Patent number: 8994379
Abstract: Exemplary methods are directed to insulation monitoring of non-grounded electrical DC power supply systems and AC power supply systems which have a resistive (Rf) and capacitive (Cf) insulation impedance between the power supply system and ground. The method includes applying a pulsed AC voltage (U0) having alternately different pulsed voltage values to the power supply system to be monitored via a resistive system interface (Ri) between the power supply system and ground. The insulation impedance (Rf) between the power supply system and ground is determined using time profiles of transient processes of the measurement voltage (Vm) prior to transient recovery of the power supply system to the respective pulsed voltage value (U0) of two polarity-inverted pulsed voltage value application processes.

  • Publication number: 20140121785
Abstract: A system for parameterizing field devices of an automation or control system includes a higher-ranking unit, which is connected via a first communication link based on a first field bus protocol to a communication interface module. The module is connected via a second communication link based on a second field bus protocol to at least one field device. In the higher-ranking unit, sub-blocks are generated and stored from a data structure for configuring the field device that is stored in a device description file for the field device. A first network service transmits the parameters of the field device from the higher-ranking unit via the first communication link into a first functionality of the module that operates as a slave function. A further functionality integrated into the module evaluates parameters of the field device that are stored in sub blocks and combines the parameters to form a single configuration block.
