  • Publication number: 20090157440
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to perform an analysis of the accounts receivable of a business. Each component of the accounts receivable is reviewed individually and all factors related to that particular component are accounted for. A data tool is then implemented to analyze the data and to recognize the areas of all of the components that are susceptible to improvement. A strategy is then developed to maximize the efficiency of the accounts receivable.

  • Publication number: 20090115573
Abstract: A system for selecting digital content from at least one content source employs a plurality of RFID enabled objects that are read by one or more RFID readers. The RFID enabled objects may be, for example, RFID enabled media objects or RFID enabled non-media objects, such as any suitable RFID enabled object. Specific combinations of RFID tags and RFID enabled objects, or RFID enabled media objects provide access to more (or different) digital content than the same tags provide alone. A method includes contactlessly reading a plurality of RFID tags associated with a plurality of RFID enabled objects to obtain a plurality of RFID tag information and determining whether each of the read plurality of RFID tag information has been read within a suitable time period with respect to each other. If so, the method includes sending the read plurality of RFID tag information for receipt by a content delivery authorization unit to determine if downloadable content is available for download.

  • Patent number: 7523137
Abstract: An event analysis system monitors information available from both publicly and privately distributed networks of information for events that are relevant to the user's particular business concerns. Those concerns are defined in a customized model of the user's organization and external business environment. The system receives the information, detects events in the information, interprets the events, and determines implications of these events. The detection and implication proceeds with regard to specific entities, relationships between entities, and definitions of the types of events which may occur in the environment in which the entities exist. Accordingly, the analysis system intelligently adapts its processing to recognize and report events which may be of interest for any particular entity.

  • Patent number: 7523349
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a data visualization methodology to assist network administrators and service engineers for complex computing systems in diagnosing and addressing faults, errors and other conditions within the computing system, and related computerized processes and network architectures and systems supporting the methodology. The methodology produces a visual representation of the relative severity and similarity of a various fault conditions occurring within a plurality of devices within the complex computing system. The visual representation visually depicts the various computing devices and/or resources within a three-dimensional grid located according to a first axis representing the severity of fault conditions being experienced by the devices/resources and second and third axes representing the similarity/disparity of the types of fault conditions being experienced by the devices/resources.

  • Publication number: 20090085724
Abstract: An audio and/or video media content providing device includes a controller, such as a server, that is responsive to RFID tag based information obtained from a remote RFID enabled media object. The controller is operative to facilitate access to media content associated with a stored periodically changing media content list. For example, a content registry database may be periodically updated through a suitable user interface to change a link between content identification information read from a remote RFID enabled media object, with media application information so that the same RFID tag may allow the downloading of different media. The link between the content ID and the media ID may be dynamically changed through the controller. This may be advantageous, to provide for example, a Top 10 song card or other RFID enabled object that stays the same but can be used to securely download different media over time.

  • Publication number: 20090076989
Abstract: A classification algorithm is separated into one or more input-invariant parts and one or more input-dependent classification parts. The input-invariant parts of the classification algorithm capture the underlying and unchanging relationships between the plurality of data elements being operated upon by the classification algorithm, whereas the one or more classification parts embody the probabilistic labeling of the data elements according to the various classifications. For any given iteration, a user's input is used to modify at least one classification part of the algorithm. Recalculated classification parts (i.e., updated classification results) are determined based on computationally simple combinations of the one or more modified classification parts and the one or more input-invariant parts. Preferably, a graphical user interface is used to solicit user input.
