Abstract: A system and method for testing an application includes modules capable of reading data from one or more data tables and providing the data as input to the application. The input data is correlated by test case, so that each module may provide different input data for each test case. The system also includes a controller that executes the modules. The controller is capable of determining an execution order for the modules by reading a flow table. The flow table correlates each test case with one or more modules, and further correlates each module within the test case with an execution order. The system may read results that the application generates in response to the input data, and correlate the results with the test case and module in a results table. The results table may also contain expected results, and the system may compare the actual results with the expected results to determine whether the application is functioning properly.

Abstract: A method for providing a financial evaluation of at least one financial instrument or of an issuer supports the provision of a dynamic credit limit. A dynamic credit limit may be associated with a counterparty or a debt security of the counterparty, for example. The method includes obtaining counterparty credit quality data associated with a transaction of the financial instrument between a party and a counterparty. Debt market data is obtained where the debt market data is associated with or relevant to the transaction. A dynamic credit limit is determined for the counterparty or a financial instrument of the counterparty based on at least one of the inputted counterparty credit quality and the obtained debt market data. The dynamic credit limit may be defined in terms of a credit exposure versus time.

Abstract: A presentation generator may access one or more data sources structured into data fields. The user may create or modify a template by inserting one or more tags corresponding to data fields in the template. The template may also have one or more processing instructions for indicating the data sources and how the data sources should be queried. The processing instructions may also indicate how the data is to be grouped across various slides, pages, sections, etc. The generator may build the presentation based on the template, its tags, and its processing instructions. The resulting presentation may be accessed by a user-friendly application, such as a word processor, slide program, spreadsheet, report viewer, or other application. The user may update part or all of the presentation using information on the queries and data sources embedded in the presentation itself.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for analyzing the relative performance of a business unit includes: receiving financial data about the business unit; determining NOPLAT, revenue, capital charge, and invested capital values for the business unit at a first time and a second time from the financial data; determining at least two data points including a first component indicative of NOPLAT/revenue and a second component indicative of revenue/capital charge for the business unit, the at least two data points indicative of values determined at one of the first time and the second time, respectively; and displaying the at least two data points, a first indicia for each data point indicative of the capital value, a second indicia indicative of a spread percentage, and a third indicia indicative of a relationship between the at least two data points between the first time and the second time.

Abstract: Systems and methods that assist users in the selection of products such as clothing and accessories are provided. A database of rules for selecting combinations of clothing and accessories is coupled to an inference engine server. A user may transmit a search request to the inference engine server. The inference engine server then access the rules and the search request and performs the search in accordance with the rules. The results of the search may then be displayed to the user as recommendations.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for translating speech from one language to another language during telephonic communications. Speech is converted from a first language to a second language as a user speaks with another user. If the translation operation is symmetric, speech is converted from the second language to the first language in the opposite communications direction. A received speech signal is processed to determine a symbolic representation containing phonetic symbols of the source language and to insert prosodic symbols into the symbolic representation. A translator translates a digital audio stream into a translated speech signal in the target language. Furthermore, a language-independent speaker parameter may be identified so that the characteristic of the speaker parameter is preserved with the translated speech signal. Regional characteristics of the speaker may be utilized so that colloquialisms may be converted to standardized expressions of the source language before translation.

A flexible and extensible privilege management infrastructure may be implemented to store and manage various types of privileges, access rights and resources. The privilege management infrastructure may include a variety of data objects and structures configured to store various components and/or aspects of a privilege. The data objects may include resource type objects, user objects, role objects, action objects, resource attribute objects, list item object and/or hierarchy objects. The data objects defined for a particular privilege may further be linked according to relationships between one or more objects. The privilege management infrastructure is extensible for use with new applications by defining new objects compatible with the privilege structures of the new applications.

The central health records data store receives, in real time, substantially complete electronic medical data input from multiple, disparate providers and sources of health records. The platform enable semantic normalization of the health records by converting the data in the health records to standardized message formats using a data conversion engine and mapping the converted data to standard terminologies using mapping products.

In one aspect, the invention provides program-level hierarchy and security with a collaboration environment computer program for assisting a group of individuals performing the integration, such that the collaboration environment is an electronic tool configured to provide administrative controls and communication among the group of individuals performing the integration. A management and security layer is established for the collaboration environment computer program. Abstract: A connector gateway system that provides mobile devices with access to business services is disclosed. The connector gateway system comprises a mobile device that includes an application that is capable of generating a service request. The service request may be generated from the application and may include a DNS name that translates to an address on the connector gateway server. The connector gateway server performs a lookup operation to determine the business server associated with the service request. The connector gateway server creates a data filter that drives an emulation between the mobile device and the business server to pump data between the mobile device and the business server.

Abstract: While a user is viewing content on a computer display, the universal data relationship inference engine presents related information from disparate data sources. A normalized index is maintained that indexes content to a set of standard taxonomy terms. The inference engine parses content being viewed by the user. If the content includes tags for some of the standard taxonomy terms, then the system may provide the user with the ability to view the related content that is indexed by the normalized index. If there are not taxonomy tags then the system may attempt to recognize non-standard taxonomy terms in the content in order to provide the user with related content. The inference engine may also identify related content by identifying synonyms to the taxonomy terms.

Abstract: A system and method enable rapid knowledge transfer, for example between a plurality of experts and a plurality of apprentices located remotely from the experts. The system makes use of unique tools to facilitate transfer of knowledge and collaboration between individuals, even among remotely located individuals. An input to the system is a Knowledge Transfer Plan which has been designed to orchestrate the knowledge transfer. The knowledge transfer system integrates a shared repository and collaboration tools for use by the expert and apprentice. The collaboration tools may be accessed through role-specific portals which are automatically created from the Knowledge Transfer Plan. In one embodiment, the system is configured with a World Wide Web-based interface and an integrated suite of tools to support knowledge transfer activities on a global basis to facilitate knowledge transfer among workers engaged in an outsourcing business process.

Abstract: A system is provided for linking together a system of trading financial instruments to a system of clearing transactions in financial instruments. In a first aspect of the present invention, the linking system includes a network linking a plurality of trading systems and a clearing system. An external interface couples the trading systems to the network while a clearing interface couples the clearing system to the network. A transmitter module transmits trading information in a plurality of kinds of securities along the network from the trading system to the clearing system. That transmitting selectively occurs approximately simultaneously with the arrival of the trading information at the external interface. The transmitting also occurs independently of the selection of trading algorithm or clearing algorithm. A second aspect of the present invention involves a computerized method for coupling a plurality of trading systems and a clearing system with a network.
