    Abstract: A method for sealing a cable in an enclosure includes assembling a first portion and a second portion of a cable seal around a cable. The first and second portions of the cable seal define a central axial opening having a sealing surface. The cable is disposed in the central axial opening. The method further includes inserting the cable seal and cable through an entrance of a generally u-shaped cable entry point of a side of an enclosure and positioning the cable seal within the cable entry point such that the cable seal protrudes from opposite surfaces of the side. An outer gasket seals between the surfaces of the side of the enclosure and the cable seal.

    Abstract: A bidirectional communication system is provided. In one embodiment, a system comprises a host unit including a multicarrier demodulator and a plurality of remote units using a multiple access scheme to communicate at the same time with the host unit multicarrier demodulator using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Each of the plurality of remote units transmits to the host unit using a multiframe pattern, each multiframe of the multiframe pattern being at least a predetermined plurality of consecutive symbols in duration. The host unit determines a timing error for at least one of the remote units; and the host unit sends a timing adjustment signal to the at least one remote unit so that multiframes received at the host unit from the plurality of remote units are aligned at the host unit.

    Abstract: An improved circuit and method for increasing the stability of switch-mode power supplies via frequency fold-back is disclosed. For example, a circuit for increasing the stability of a switch-mode power supply using the compensation signal to control the frequency of the oscillator is disclosed, which includes an operational amplifier that functions to scale the compensation signal. Thus, the switching frequency of the power supply involved is decreased as the load is reduced. This novel use of the compensation signal to control the switching frequency of a switch-mode power supply significantly increases the stability of the power supply as compared to prior switch-mode power supplies. Therefore, the switch-mode power supply may be used for those applications where relatively high stability is desired.
