The system comprises a housing, wherein the housing encloses one or more electronic devices; a backplane situated within the housing wherein at least one of the one or more electronic devices are coupled to the backplane; and an auxiliary cooling system coupled to the backplane and adapted to receive electrical power from one or more power sources, wherein the auxiliary cooling system comprises one or both of a thermoelectric cooling module and a fan, and wherein the auxiliary cooling system is adapted to increase the heat transfer from the one or more electronic devices to an environment external to the housing.

The splice tray arrangement also includes a mounting arrangement for securing the splice chip to the tray at a mounting location. The mounting arrangement includes sliding interlock guides disposed on each of the splice chip and the tray. The mounting arrangement further includes flexible tabs arranged to prevent lateral movement of the splice chip when positioned at the mounting location.

    Abstract: A wall mount chassis includes circuitry for telecommunications signals. The chassis includes a rear wall mountable to a vertical wall, and first and second sides. Each side includes a hinged cover. Each cover includes an access window for viewing an opposite side of the cover. On one side of the chassis is positioned signal converter cards for converting between optical and electrical signals. On an opposite side of the chassis are positioned one or more electrical power cards providing an access location for power to the circuitry. A CPU card can also be provided on the same side as the power card. An interior of the chassis includes a back plane positioned between the converter cards and the power and CPU cards wherein the back plane is perpendicular to the converter cards and power and CPU cards. A cable spool is positioned adjacent one of the sides for cable management. Cable clips are provided for securably retaining one or more cables adjacent each of the first and second sides.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic signal switching module with connectors on a first side for connecting with a variety of devices and sources and with jacks for receiving patch cords on a second side. The switching modules include two position switches in the circuitry connecting the jacks with the connectors which allow the module to be configured as a straight-through patching module, a fully normal module with paired jacks or a half normal module with paired jacks. One alternative of the invention utilizes card edge connectors on the first side.     Abstract: An optical fiber cable management panel includes drawer assemblies, each including a drawer slidable within a chassis. The drawer assemblies are secured together by a bracket that includes an interlock arrangement with the chassis. Such an interlock arrangement includes a non-threaded stud engaging a hole. Radius limiters may be part of the drawer assembly and include a cable entry aperture have a closed perimeter and a flared cable guide surface around most of, and preferably all of, the closed perimeter to allow for the entry of cables from all directions. A control mechanism controls movement of the radius limiter relative to the drawer assembly. The control mechanism includes a rotating member that has an axis of rotation transverse to the slidable motion of the radius limiter and normal to the radius limiter.
