  • Patent number: 10759318
Abstract: A head restraint for a seat being adjustable in a vertical direction, and angularly adjustable with regard to lateral portions of the head restraint. A mechanism providing this adjustability is a linear and rotational locking mechanism with a shaft and a slide. The slide is selectively slidably and rotatably mounted on the shaft. The slide has a locked state which linearly and rotationally fixes the slide on, and with respect to, the shaft. The slide has a release state where the slide is linearly and rotatably movable on the shaft. The slide is fixable in a plurality of linear and rotational positions on the shaft in the locked state. The number of linear and rotational positions on the shaft is considered infinite since for all practical purposes, the slide is not restricted to individual discrete positions, but is continuously adjustable to practically any linear and rotational position.

  • Patent number: 10604049
Abstract: A vehicle headrest includes a carriage with support rods, an outer headrest connected to the carriage, a vertical locking arrangement with a locking element having a locked state and a released state relative to a support rod locking interface. Release levers, accessible from respective sides, move essentially along a vehicle direction of travel. • Patent number: 10576857
Abstract: A back frame (28) for a seat back (18). The back frame (28) has side members (30) and cross members (32). The side members (30) have a dimension (40) which is larger than a corresponding dimension (42) of the crossmembers (32). The dimensions (40) and (42) being taken along the same direction. The crossmember (32) is inserted into a partial opening (34) in the side member (30). Since the dimension (42) is less than the dimension (40), the partial opening (34) does not extend across the entire dimension (42). Instead the opening (34) only partially extends across the dimension (40) to a length substantially equal to dimension (42). The partial opening (34) is arranged against one side of the side member (30), so that the cross member (32) is positioned closer to that side. Sleeve nuts (36) are arranged in the side members (30), and are used to attach a recliner (54) which then attaches to the seat base (16).

  • Patent number: 10532680
Abstract: A headrest including a resilient headrest structure. The resilient headrest structure has a resilient headrest structure surface. The resilient headrest structure surface defines a non-planar contour, in particular an arcuate contour, when the resilient headrest structure is fixed between two points. The resilient headrest surface defines a planar contour when the resilient headrest structure is released. Due to the material properties of the resilient headrest structure, the resilient headrest structure surface automatically returns to the planar contour from the non-planar contour when the resilient headrest structure is released.

  • Patent number: 10518668
Abstract: A vehicle seat (101, 201), includes a seat height adjusting multi-bar linkage (4) with five transmission links (5, 6, 7, 8, 9), operative in normal operation as a four-bar linkage based on a locking unit (10) acting between at least two transmission links (7, 8). In the event of a crash a crash blocking unit (121) locks a vehicle-structure-fixed frame (5) and a rocker (8) to each other, such that the multi-bar linkage (4) acts as a three-bar linkage. A transmission link (7) is arranged between the frame (5) and the rocker (8). In the event of a crash, the multi-bar link (4) acts as a five-bar linkage because of a load-controlled release of the locking unit (10), whereby locking of the crash blocking unit (121) can be triggered independently of a load-controlled release of the locking unit (10) by an inertia-controlled pawl (125) of the crash blocking unit (121).
