Abstract: An electrical plug connector includes a plug metal shell, an insulation housing bracket, a plug grounding contact, and a grounding member. The plug metal shell encloses a tongue portion of the insulation housing bracket. The plug grounding contact is held inside the insulation housing bracket. The grounding member is disposed between the plug metal shell and the plug grounding contact and spaced from the first side of the insulation housing bracket. A connecting portion is selectively disposed on the grounding member or on the plug grounding contact. The connecting portion mechanically contacts to the grounding member and the plug grounding contact such that the grounding member is electrically connected to the plug grounding contact.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, first receptacle terminals, second receptacle terminals, first glue recess, and a first texture region. The metallic shell circularly encloses the insulated housing. The first and second receptacle terminals are held in the insulated housing. The first texture region is annularly formed on an inner wall of the metallic shell and corresponds to a periphery of the outer wall of the insulated housing. Therefore, the sealing member can attach onto the first texture region efficiently. Therefore, the sealing member does not overflow to the front portion of the receptacle cavity, and the inner gap can be sealed by the sealing member properly. Hence, the first texture region allows the sealing member to attach onto the inner wall of the shell body, and the sealing member can cover the inner gap completely to provide a reliable waterproof performance.

By the design of the capping body, water vapor or moisture cannot seep through the discontinuous portion to enter the first housing.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes a mount member, a tongue, first terminals, second terminals, and a shielding plate. The mount member and the tongue are received in a metallic shell. The terminals and the shielding plate are on the mount member and the tongue. The tongue includes terminal grooves and recesses. The terminal grooves are formed on a first surface of the tongue. Each of the recesses is recessed toward a tip of the tongue from an inner sidewall in the corresponding terminal groove. Flat contact portions of the first terminals are held in the terminal grooves. End portions of the flat contact portions are received in the recesses. Therefore, upon the tongue is deflected, the flat contact portions are constrainted in the recesses and not detached from the tongue, thereby improving stability and reliability in the contact with an electrical plug connector.

In addition, the shaping space between a first recessed portion and a second recessed portion of each plug terminal receive materials for forming the plug insulated housing, thus improving the structural strength of the connector. Moreover, embedded ends allow the plug terminals to be secured with the plug bottom wall, so that the plug terminals would not detach from the plug insulated housing easily during manufacturing or operation. The structural strength of the electrical plug connector can be improved, and the plug terminals can be properly assembled with the plug insulated housing.
