  • Patent number: 9829374
Abstract: Systems and methods for conformal imaging vibrometry capable of real-time measurements of the dynamic motions of any arbitrary two-dimensional or three-dimensional structure. The systems and methods are able to fully characterize the dynamic behavior of an object of any arbitrary geometry. The test object is illuminated with multiple laser beams whose directions conform to the local normal axis of the surface. The approach enables high-speed vibration imaging of whole-body dynamics of arbitrarily shaped structures in real-time, with no multiplexed data capture or synthesized motion reconstruction, as is currently practiced. By measuring the object's vibrations simultaneously at multiple points, the disclosed systems and methods are able to reproduce the structural behavior under operational conditions, which can then be spectrally decomposed to determine the modal, complex modal and transient nature of the true structural dynamics.

  • Patent number: 9524885
Abstract: Mold pieces (105 and 110) for molding a layer of mold compound on the interconnect side of a bumped semiconductor wafer (118) include a primary cavity (117) and secondary cavities (120) into which excess mold compound from the primary cavity (117) flows. The secondary cavities (120) include a plunger (130) that asserts a predetermined backpressure that is equal to a desired mold compound pressure on the mold compound during molding. As most of the excess mold compound in the primary cavity (117) is forced to flow into the secondary cavities (120), this advantageously leaves a relatively thin layer of mold compound on the semiconductor wafer (118), which can then be removed, for example by grinding, in a relatively short time. Mold piece (105) further comprises a movable cavity bar (115) that can be moved away from mold piece (105) after molding and be cooled to detach the molded substrate that adheres to the cavity bar.

  • Patent number: 7811203
Abstract: A behavior of a walker is detected according to combination of detection of the walking behavior on a level and an altitude variation of the walker to more accurately detect the behavior of the walker. A burned calorie can be obtained according to the type of the walking behavior. An altitude variation can be obtained more accurately by integrating altitude variation only at sections with vertical movement during walking. A stride is estimated according to the behavior of the walker in consideration of the vertical movement. Obtained position and traveling direction are used for compensating values in inertial navigation system. The behavior with and without vertical movement is used in a walker navigator and a worker observing system including a worker terminal carried by the walker for detecting the behavior of the worker and a worker observing terminal for providing the detected position and behavior of the walker.
