Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to a snap-and-click display utilized to enhance the installation of a display on an electronic gaming device. The systems and methods may allow for easier installation of a display on the electronic gaming device via a snap-and-click display.
Abstract: An air filtration and cooling system for an electronic gaming machine is described. The electronic gaming machine can provide play of a wager-based game. The air filtration and cooling system is disposed within an interior of the gaming machine cabinet. The air filtration and cooling system can include a plenum which guides air through system. Electrical components, such as a game controller and a power supply, can be located within the plenum. For cooling purposes, air from outside the cabinet can be blown over the electrical components. Prior to allowing the air to pass over the electrical components, the air from outside the cabinet can be filtered, such as using a two-stage filter. The filtration system is configured to remove contaminants in the air which can damage the electrical components, such as contaminants associated with cigarette smoke.
Abstract: A slot-type game and a gaming machine configured to present a slot-type game include a symbol replacement feature. A first set of game symbols is displayed. If a replacement symbol triggering event occurs, such as the appearance of at least one replacement symbol, the symbol replacement is triggered. At least two symbols of the first set of symbols, such as two symbols adjacent to the replacement symbol, are evaluated to determine a highest ranking and a lowest ranking symbol. A second set of symbols is then displayed, the second set of symbols comprising the first set of symbols with occurrences of the lowest ranking symbol replaced with the highest ranking symbol.
Abstract: Wager-based video slot reel games are described where prizes are awarded based upon the appearance of scatter symbols. The games can allow a player to select the number of scatter symbols needed to win prizes. Also, the game logic can be configured to select the number of scatter symbols needed to win prizes. In one embodiment, a bonus game including free spins and scatter symbols is generated. Prior to beginning the bonus game, a player can select a combination of free spins and scatter symbols needed to win prizes, such as progressive prizes. Although the scatter symbols and/or free spins needed to win prizes can be varied within a video slot reel game, the probability of winning the prizes can be maintained approximately the same for each variation.
Abstract: A method and device for conducting a wagering game includes receiving an ante wager. A player hand of game pieces is dealt and a final player hand is formed by selecting the game pieces with matching rank indicia from the player hand. The final player hand is evaluated by comparing the final player hand to a standard, such as a pay table, a final dealer hand, and/or final player hands of other players. Payouts are issued if the final player hand is a winning hand based on the evaluation. Optionally, side wagers may be offered on the constitution of the final player hand.
Abstract: A display control system for a gaming machine is described. The display control system allows a gaming machine controller to directly control attributes of one or more video displays coupled to a gaming machine. Display attributes can be adjusted to account for different machine states which can occur when the gaming machine is operating in an attract mode, game play mode and tilt mode. A few examples of display attributes which can be controlled include but are not limited to power on or off, input source selection, contrast control, brightness control and color temp control.
Abstract: A gaming machine and system for conducting a game includes receipt of an ante wager designating either a first game hand or a second game hand for resolution of the ante wager. A first game hand of unexposed playing cards is dealt, and optionally exposed in stages with each stage interceded by an election received from players to either place an additional wager on the same game hand designed by the ante wager or check by proceeding to a subsequent stage without placing an additional wager. After the first game hand is exposed, an election is received to either place an additional wager on the same game hand designated by the ante wager or fold. A second game hand is dealt, exposed, and compared to the first game hand to resolve ante wagers on the respective hands. Optional and/or mandatory bonus wagers may be received on the game hands.
Abstract: One step of the present method involves making an across ante and a down ante and an optional five card poker bet. Other steps involve making an across bet or folding, making a down bet or folding, and making a middle bet or folding. All winning bets are paid out against a designated payout table for that bet. A winning middle bet is paid to the higher of the two five card poker hands formed by the players two dealt cards and either the three across community cards or the three down community cards. A winning five card bonus bet is paid to a winning five card poker hand formed by the five community cards forming the cross. The method may be played on criss cross poker layouts on actual or simulated casino card tables or on electronic devices.
Abstract: In a game event a first set of game symbols are displayed in a game symbol display area, at least one prize is displayed in a prize display area, and an expanded second set of game symbols having at least one game symbol located in the prize display area is displayed. A winning game outcome may be declared if at least one game symbol located in the prize display area contacts at least one prize which is displayed in the prize display area. The game event may be presented via a uniquely configured gaming machine or system in which the game symbols and prizes are generated and displayed as graphical elements on a video display. The game event may be presented as or as part of a wagering event.
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention generally relate to operating a gaming machine to generate a wager-based video slot game. In a particular embodiment, a plurality of video slot reel games can be generated simultaneously and independently of one another. For example, nine video slot reel games can be generated simultaneously. In each of the video slot reel games, the symbols falling on one or more pay lines can be evaluated for winning combinations. In addition, a secondary array, such as a three by three array, can be populated with symbols that were presented in the plurality of video slot reel games. The symbols appearing in the secondary array can be presented to display like an additional video slot game. The symbols falling on one or more pay lines through the secondary array can be evaluated for winning combinations.
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to systems and methods, which may receive wagers on one or more paylines. The systems and methods may utilize one or more symbol positions which may provide additional gaming functionality. The systems and methods may determine one or more payouts based on the additional gaming functionality. The systems and methods may display one or more presentations based on the additional gaming functionality. The systems and methods may utilize a first display device. The first display device may include a first display area, a first silk-screen area, a first insulation area, and a first border area. The first display area, the first silk-screen area, the first insulation area, and the first border area may be flush with each other. The first insulation area may provide electrical isolation between the first border area and the first display area and/or the silk-screen area.
