Abstract: According to the present method it is possible to recover metallic aluminium easily and at high recovery rate and low cost from metallic aluminium containing wastes disposed recently in great amounts, said wastes being, for example, aluminium can, aluminium laminated foil, aluminium scraps, aluminium chips, and any other aluminium containing (or accompanying) material. The invention is technically constituted such that the combustible substances of metallic aluminium containing materials are carbonized in a kiln in an atmosphere where oxygen concentration is not higher than 10% by volume or an atmosphere of a carbon dioxide gas, and which kiln is in the temperature range of 300.degree.-600.degree. C., and after cooling, carbonized material and iron content are separated by sieving or magnetically.
Abstract: The mold release material for die castings is such one that an emulsion based on animal or vegetable oils, mineral oil, fatty acid and esters thereof is added an alkali metal or alkali earth metal salt of EDTA in the range 10-10,000 ppm. The alkali metal or alkali earth metal salt of EDTA prevents the aqueous solution of emulsion of the mold release material of the invention from micell formation, forms a stable emulsion, is scarcely affected by temperature, and forms bivalent metal ion and water soluble complex whereby it does not form deposits even if hard water is used as diluted water of the mold release material.
Abstract: This invention provides a deodorant composition in the form of gel containing chlorine dioxide, which comprises a gel product obtained by gelling an aqueous solution of stabilized chlorine dioxide with the use of both a polyethylene-imide having a molecular weight of from 10,000 to 100,000 and an epoxide crosslinking agent. The gel typed deodorant composition according to this invention is effective for deodorizing sulfur-containing compounds, has a high strength because of its solid gel form and a long-term stability, and is easy to handle including the time of exchanging the deodorant composition for another one.
Abstract: A new deodorant composition in the form of gel is now provided, which comprises 2% to 30% by weight of sodium polyacrylate or ammonium polyacrylate having a molecular weight of form 40,000 to 300,000, 1% to 10% by weight of diglycidyl ether or polyglycidyl ether, 5% to 40% by weight of deodorizer containing as active ingredients ethanaminium N-(carboxymethyl)-2-hydroxy-N, N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)choride, diethanolamine, triethanolamine and glyoxal, and the remainder of water.The gel typed deodorant composition according to this invention may effectively be used to deodorize acidic and alkaline bad odors in the enclosed areas.
Abstract: A new deodorant composition is now provided, which comprises as an active ingredient for deodorization a reaction product which is obtained for reacting either polyethyleneimine or ethyleneimine-alkylene oxide copolymer having a molecular weight in the range of from 100 to 5,000 with monochloroacetic acid in a weight ratio of 1:0.3 to 1.0, optionally in association with conventional additives used for deodorizing utility. The deodorant composition according to this invention may efficiently be used to deodorize all bad odors evolved from a wide variety of sources.
Abstract: A deodorant composition is now provided, which comprises at least one of alcoholic amine compounds, at least one of organic zinc compounds and water, the proportion of each component being 1% to 60% by weight of alcoholic amine compound per 100% by weight of the composition, 0.1% to 40% by weight of organic zinc compound and the remainder of water. The deodorant composition according to this invention may efficiently be used not only to deodorize acidic bad odors but also to inhibit corrosion of steel material.
Abstract: A method of the heat-retention in a blind riser in metal casting by using a sand mould, characterized in that an exothermic moulded composition is arranged in a drag holding cavity below a blind riser in the cope of the mould or in the neighborhood of the blind riser before the melt is poured, and thereafter the melt is poured to cause the exothermic moulded composition to float up into the blind riser to retain heat therein.
Abstract: A core for blow-forming the lining of a vessel for molten metal, which core is provided with a main body having blow-in holes and an exhaust port, the side face and the lower faces of said body having the same dimensions and shapes as those of the inside of the lining of said vessel for molten metal, a flange mounted approximately horizontally in the outer direction at the periphery of the upper end of said main body, a plurality of supports which are actuated downwardly from said flange, and airtight and shock absorbers mounted beneath said flange, a lining method which uses said core, and a lining composition used in said lining method.

Abstract: A lance pipe covered with refractories having a thickness in the range 2-15 mm and a refractoriness higher than 1800.degree. K., comprising winding the outer periphery of a pipe with a refractory fibrous thread, lace, tape or cloth having a diameter of thickness in the range 0.5-15 mm at room temperature and under normal pressure; said thread, lace, tape or cloth being impregnated and adhered with a mixture which consists of 40-90% by weight of a refractory aggregate in which most of the particle size are -10 mesh but which contains the particle size of more than 15% by weight of each of -200 mesh and 28-200 mesh, and a refractory binder as the rest which consists of one or more of silica sol including 5-40% by weight of solid parts, hydrolyzed ethyl silicate and fire clay suspension.
Abstract: A filter medium for fluid, which is a sintered body in which alumina refractory is 100 parts by weight, more than 95% by weight of said refractory being pelletized spheroids of less than 1.0 mm in particle size, while inorganic binder having particle size less than 40 microns is in the range 15-30 parts by weight and fluoride and/or oxide of lithium is in the range 0.1-1 part by weight, and in which filter medium the mean pore diameter is in the range 500-1 microns and the porosity is in the range from 15 to 40%.

Abstract: During the reducing period in steel making, particularly in the making of stainless steel, the reduction of oxides in the slag and desulphurization of the molten steel are promoted by adding a reducing material, which is prepared by mixing uniformly aluminum powder and lime and the, like and compression molding the mixture into a desired shape.
