  • Patent number: 11142320
Abstract: A cabin module for a commercial aircraft includes a set of bulkheads defining a quadrant with an inboard wall and converging side walls. The module is sub-divided by a removable partition which splits the module into two passenger compartments. The quadrant shape of the module enables it to overlap an adjacent seat area, thereby using space between seat areas that is otherwise underutilised. In a particular form the modules define a single central aisle which transitions from a pair of parallel aisles aft via a Y-shaped transition region.

  • Patent number: 10723510
Abstract: A method and a locking assembly for locking a cargo net to a pallet for preventing access to cargo during transportation is disclosed. One example embodiment provides a locking assembly with an anchor, a retaining ring and a cable tie. The anchor includes a base member, a bolt, and a spring. The retaining ring locks to both the cargo net and the base member. The cable tie locks the bolt and the base member together and prevents the bolt from moving from the base member. Such that the anchor is prevented from being removed from the pallet without destroying the anchor or the pallet.

  • Patent number: 9664538
Abstract: The invention is a rotational sensor to sense an object's angle and methods to analyze the sensor output. The sensor has a first emitting source, to either emit onto, or from the object, a first receiving sensor, to receive emissions from the first emitting source, either directly or indirectly, the emissions received dependent on said angle, first receiving sensor outputting a first signal a course measurement of the angle. Also present is a second emitting source, to emit onto, or from the object and a second receiving sensor, to receive emissions from the second emitting source, either directly or indirectly the emissions received again dependent on said angle, second receiving sensor outputting a second signal, as a fine measurement of the angle. A method of use of the sensor is disclosed together with a method of combining the fine and course measurements to output a signal with zero error.

  • Patent number: 8459913
Abstract: A method and system of securing cargo for preventing access to cargo during transportation is disclosed. In an embodiment, the system comprises a security net adapted for covering the cargo, the net comprising a panel with a periphery. The panel is made from a net with holes of sufficiently small size to prevent objects from readily being inserted therethrough without causing a tear thereto. The periphery contains a plurality of openings. The system also comprises a plurality of security locks adapted for locking onto a pallet beneath the cargo and coupling onto one of the plurality of openings. Each security lock has a first identifier for identifying whether the plurality of security locks belong to a predetermined set.

  • Patent number: 7997654
Abstract: A recliner seat assembly for a passenger vehicle. The recliner seat assembly includes a fixed supporting portion for supporting the assembly off a floor of the vehicle, a reclinable seat portion having a seat-pan and a back-rest, and a seat connecting device adapted for connecting the seat portion to the supporting portion. The connecting device includes a seat reclining mechanism adapted for allowing and controlling translational movement of the seat portion relative to the supporting portion between a first upright position and a second fully reclined position. The connecting device further includes a selectively operable, bi-directional motor adapted for driving the seat portion between the first and second positions. The seat reclining mechanism includes a guiding device for reclining the back-rest progressively rearwardly relative to the supporting portion as the seat portion is moved from the first upright position to the second fully reclined position.
