Abstract: A suction table 9 is disposed at a cutting action position for a polarizing film F, and holding blocks 9a and 9b, which are different in height from each other, are disposed in proximity to each other along a transport direction on a surface of the suction table 9 to form a suction groove 14. Nip rollers 11 and 12 are disposed on front and rear sides of the suction table 9 to nip opposed ends of the polarizing film F. Further, the suction table 9 suction-holds the polarizing film F in a state that the polarizing film F is inclined with the suction groove 14 located below a portion to be cut. In this state, a laser device 10 scans the polarizing film F along the suction groove 14 to cut the polarizing film F in a width direction.

The cylinder body 60 includes a first cylinder portion 35 for the one 32 of the pistons and a second cylinder portion 34 for the other 31 of the pistons. A valve seat 43 of a control valve 39 is arranged between the cylinder portions 34 and 35.
Abstract: The present invention provides bead-like hollow particles and an easy and convenient method for producing the same, and a friction material using the bead-like hollow particles. The particles are bead-like hollow particles comprising odd-shaped particles composed of a metal oxide as a main component and having at least one of a through hole and non-through hole in a surface; the method is a producing method for the bead-like hollow particles, which comprises spraying and drying a suspension of a particulate biological material and a particulate metal oxide by a two-fluid nozzle spray dryer to obtain a powder composed of the particulate biological material as a core and a layer of the particulate metal oxide as a shell, and heating the obtained powder; and the friction material is a friction material using the hollow particles.
Abstract: A brake assembly comprising: at least one brake spring that includes: a first arm; a second arm, the first arm and the second arm forming a first arm plane; and a body portion between and connecting to the first arm and the second arm, the body portion forming a body plane, the body plane being at an angle relative to the first arm plane; wherein the at least one brake spring is between and in communication with a pressure plate of at least two brake pads.
Abstract: The present invention provides a binder resin for a friction material, which enables high-temperature short-time thermoforming and can omit a post-curing step and suppress the generation of a pyrolysis component at molding; a friction material using the binder resin; and a binder resin composition for a friction material, which is enhanced in the heat resistance and can suppress a rapid increase of the wear amount, and in addition to these properties, which has good dynamic property and enables high-temperature short-time thermoforming.
Abstract: Granules for a friction material is produced by: granulating a mixture including a friction modifying granular material and a resin binder in a fluidized bed under a presence of a liquid including a water-soluble or water-dispersible binder. The granules have a particle size of from 100 to 2000 ?m, an angle of repose of 40° or less, and a compression breakage strength of 10 MPa or less. The friction material is obtained by using the granules.
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to improve the fluidity of a thermosetting powder adhesive and clear the blocking with a powder adhesive in a constant amount supplying apparatus or a delivery pathway. The present invention has attained the object by a powder adhesive containing a thermosetting adhesive particle and an inorganic filler present on the surface of the thermosetting adhesive particle.
Abstract: The present invention is predicated upon friction material and more particularly to chopped basalt reinforcement fibers within a friction material.
Abstract: An organic friction modifier is provided with a composite material particle in which laminar graphite particles are dispersed in an aramid resin. In addition, a friction material is provided with an organic friction modifier including a composite material particle in which laminar graphite particles are dispersed in an aramid resin.

Abstract: A brake pad actuating device comprising: a piston including: a first pocket; an opposing second pocket; and an internal wall located in the piston separating the first pocket and the second pocket, wherein the volume of the first pocket to the volume of the second pocket form a ratio of less than about 20:1; and wherein the piston is adapted to be used as a brake piston.
Abstract: By rotating a regulating bolt about an axis thereof to move forward/backward with respect to a protrusion portion, a lever is rotated about a shaft portion of an adjusting member. Therefore, the shaft portion of an adjusting member is rotated together with the lever to adjust a gap formed between a disk and a piston. After the gap is adjusted, the regulating bolt is fastened owing to a lock nut and a screw hole of the protrusion portion to thereby fix an forward/backward position of the regulating bolt with respect to the protrusion portion. In addition, a fixing bolt is screwed into a screw hole of a second housing portion to thereby fix a rotational position of the lever. Accordingly, the rotational position of the lever is double-locked.
