Abstract: To provide a highly heat-resistant brake pad adaptable to high temperatures/high loads and producible only by adding a baking step to the same production process as that for an organic friction material. A friction material comprising a fibrous material, a friction modifier, a binder and an inorganic material, wherein a silicon-containing polymer is blended as a binder and after thermoforming, the polymer is heat-treated in an oxidizing atmosphere at a temperature of 160 to 350° C. for 1 to 10 hours to cause crosslinking with oxygen and then, subjected to a baking treatment. As the silicon-containing polymer, one compound or two or more compounds are preferably selected from the group consisting of polycarbosilane, polyorganoborosilazane, polyborosiloxane, polycarbosilazane, and perhydropolysilazane.

  • Publication number: 20140041497
Abstract: In a process of transporting a strip-shaped optical film F, the optical film F is cut to a predetermined length. Thereafter, the sheet-like optical films F divided by the cutting are intermittently transported while the strip-shaped optical film F is fed by the predetermined length such that a portion to be cut next reaches a cutting action position. Further, a leading one of the sheet-like optical films F in the intermittent transport process is transported to a continuous transport process such that a rear end thereof passes the intermittent transport process in a subsequent intermittent transport operation. Herein, the sheet-like optical film F is transported to the downstream-side continuous transport process following the intermittent transport process to continuously transport the optical film F.

  • Publication number: 20140000992
Abstract: An electric brake with a parking mechanism includes a parking lock device. A rotating side engaging surface of the parking lock device is formed with rotating side engaging projections at a plurality of places in a circumference direction of the rotating side engaging surface. One side surfaces in the circumference direction of the rotating side engaging projections are inclined edges which are inclined relative to a direction a restraining side engaging member of the parking lock device is displaced. The inclined edges are inclined in such a direction that a range in which the inclined edges and distal ends of the restraining side engaging member engage with each other is increased as the inclined edges go forward in a direction the restraining side engaging member moves based on an elastic force of an elastic member of the parking lock device.

  • Patent number: 8573370
Abstract: A cam housing assembly oscillates in association with rotation of an eccentric cam which is attached to a camshaft and is allowed to press a clutch by cam pins of the cam housing assembly. A pair of piston assemblies are provided of which each includes a piston which can slide within a sleeve, a spindle and a nut which screws on to the spindle and are supported in hole portions in a caliper body so as to oscillate therein, whereby a brake pad is pressed against by a plug after the spindle, the nut and the piston are sequentially pressed by pressing a clutch by the cam pins. Since the spindle and the nut are screwed on to each other through a reversible screw, a gap is adjusted automatically as the pad wears.

  • Publication number: 20130233486
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to improve adhesion failure associated with “a bubble formation phenomenon” that may occur in an adhesive layer when the thickness of an adhesive agent is increased and “Cratering” which may be caused in the adhesive layer by contaminants or the like present on a material to be adhered. The purpose can be achieved by a powdery adhesive agent comprising thermosetting adhesive particles and a surface control agent, wherein the powdery adhesive agent contains the surface control agent in an amount of 0.1-5.0 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the thermosetting adhesive agent particle and used for the adhesion between a metal plate and a porous material.

  • Patent number: 8524536
Abstract: Nip rollers 11 and 12 each including a pair of upper and lower rollers are disposed on an upstream side and a downstream side with a portion to be cut of an optical film F located therebetween. In the nip roller 12, a center axis C of the upper roller 12b is displaced relative to a center axis L of the drive roller 12a in a direction away from the portion to be cut. Upon cutting of the polarizing film F, the upper rollers 11b and 12b are simultaneously moved downward, so that a timing at which the downstream nip roller 12 nips the polarizing film F is delayed. Further, the nip roller 12 pulls the polarizing film F in the direction away from the portion to be cut, so that tension is applied to the polarizing film F. In this state, the polarizing film F is cut by a laser device 10.
