Abstract: According to the present invention an oral pharmaceutical preparation of acetylsalicylic acid is provided which consists of cores containing acetylsalicylic acid as pharmaceutically active component, which cores are coated with a polymer membrane to the formation of coated granules. The preparation is characterized in that the polymer membrane comprises at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of cellulose acetate phtalate and methyl esterified methacrylic acid polymers having a degree of esterification of 45-55%, whereby the amount of such polymer forms 60-45% of the weight of the membrane, and at least one methyl esterified methacrylic acid polymer having a degree of esterification of 65-75% and forming 45-25% of the weight of the membrane, and a plasticizer selected from fatty alcohols and fatty acids forming 4-12% of the weight of the membrane, whereby the membrane represents 5-12 weight % of the composition.

Abstract: The present invention relates to gastric acid neutralizing compositions comprising dried aluminum hydroxide in suspension form, whereby the composition as suspension stabilizing and suspension forming agent comprises a hydrogenated, hydrolyzed glucose polymer in an amount of 2 to 30% by weight. By way of this content of the glucose polymer the amount of gastric acid neutralizing substance can be increased whereby smaller doses can be administered in obtaining gastric acid neutralization.

Abstract: A gastric acid neutralizing agent in the form of a clear aqueous solution of a watersoluble, non-crosslinked polyethyleneimine, a taste improving acid selected from the group of alginic acid, polygalacturonic acid, galacturonic acid, pectin, tannic acid, arabic acid, galactaric acid and glutaric acid and an organic acid selected from the group of tartaric acid, fumaric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, citric acid, succinic acid, and malic acid, the latter acid in such an amount that the pH of the solution is 4 to 11; a process for preparing such gastric acid neutralizing agent and a method for treatment of hyperacidity comprising oral administration of such agent.
