Abstract: At least one embodiment of the present application relates to a method and/or an apparatus for determining the concentration of a substance in a body material that is composed of two different material components in an unknown ratio. In an embodiment of the method, two computed tomography pictures from which two image data records are reconstructed are recorded in conjunction with two different spectral distributions of the x-radiation. The x-ray attenuation values for each voxel of the two image data records are decomposed into three material components. The decomposition is performed on the assumption that the x-ray attenuation value xM of the body material without the substance is composed of the x-ray attenuation values xM1, xM2 of the first and second material component in accordance with the following equation: xM=f*xM1+(1-f)*XM2, f being a volume fraction of the first material component in the body material.

Abstract: The invention relates to a residual-current circuit breaker for an X-ray device. Abstract: A motor vehicle brake power proportioning device has a brake control force proportioned by a balance-beam-type device at a variable ratio onto different brake cylinders, particularly to the master brake cylinders of the front and rear axle of the motor vehicle. The balance-beam-type device is configured so that a lever arm adjustment, that is continuously a function of the brake control force, can be achieved for a constant course of the proportioning of the brake control force onto the brake cylinders. For achieving the lever arm adjustment as a function of the brake control force, at least one section of the balance-beam-type device is continuously deformable as a function of the brake control force.

Abstract: The accurate position detection without being affected by an unnecessary second magnetic field can be realized by calculating the unnecessary second magnetic field induced and generated at positions of magnetic field sensors by a guiding coil arranged around the position detection area of the medical device due to an action of a first magnetic field generated by a magnetic field generator, at the time of position detection, and the second magnetic field is subtracted from the first magnetic field detected by the magnetic field sensors to calculate corrected magnetic-field information.
