Patent number: 7896571Abstract: A panel fastening system, especially for floor panels. The floor panels are fitted with retaining profiles on their edges, whereby the retaining profile of a front edge and the retaining profile of the opposite back edge and the retaining profile of a left edge and the retaining profile of the opposite right edge of a panel match each other in such a way that similar panels can be fixed to one another. The mutually matching retaining profiles have complementary hook elements that can be hooked into one another and the hook elements have retaining surfaces by means of which the panels are held against each other when mounted in such a way that a gap-free surface is obtained.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 1999Date of Patent: March 1, 2011Assignee: Akzenta Paneele + Profile GmbHInventors: Hans-Jurgen Hannig, Ralf Eisermann

Patent number: 7856789Abstract: The method for laying and interlocking the panels uses panels with complementary, formfitting retaining profiles extending over the length of the sides. The complementary edges of the panels allow two adjacent panels to be positively joined such that displacement of the panels away from one another is prevented, while enabling articulation of the panels with respect to one another at the joint location. The method of installation provides for installing a new panel to a first row and a panel in a second row by first joining the new panel to the panel of the second row at its short side, followed by pivoting the new panel upwards out of the plane of the laid panels along its long side, along with at least the adjacent end of the first panel in the second row, into an inclined position, and sliding the new panel into the retaining profile of the panels in the first row. The new panel and the raised end of the panel in the second row are then pivoted down into the plane of the laid panels.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2006Date of Patent: December 28, 2010Assignee: Akzenta Paneele & Profile GmbHInventor: Ralf Eisermann

Publication number: 20100043333Abstract: A panel with a working surface and four edges of which oppositely disposed pairs of edges have corresponding holding profiles so similar panels are connectable. Holding profiles of a first pair of edges are connectable by angular movement into interlocking relationship Holding profiles of a second pair of edges are hook elements, which are connectable to similar adjacent panels by joining movement provided a hook element is a separate vertical locking element projecting toward joining movement of the hook elements. During joining, the vertical locking element is movable out of the path of joining movement and when hooked, the hook elements are movable toward the joining movement by spring action. When dismantling, connected panels are unlockable from hooked and vertically locked condition by pivoting about an axis near the hooked edges and toward an unlocking position. The working surfaces, when unlocked, are less than 180° relative to each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2007Publication date: February 25, 2010Applicant: AKZENTA PANEELE + PROFILE GMBHInventor: Hans-Juergen Hannig

Publication number: 20090049787Abstract: The rectangular floor panel comprises a core of timber material, a decorative layer on the top and pairs of opposite side edges with complementary form-fitting hooked profiles. A receiving hook facing the lower side of the floor panel and a retaining hook located on the opposite side edge and facing the top side of the floor panel. The receiving and retaining hooks are provided with a distal side surface, one having at least one projecting interlocking element and another having an associated receiving pocket. The retaining hook is lockable with the receiving hook by vertical movement. The interlocking element and the top side of the floor panel are separated by at least one gap corresponding to one third the total thickness of the floor panel.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2006Publication date: February 26, 2009Applicant: AKZENTA PANEELE + PROFILE GMBHInventor: Hans-Juergen Hannig

Patent number: 7451578Abstract: The invention relates to a fastening system (1) for rectangular, tabular panels (2, 3, 10), especially floor panels. Comprising retaining profiles disposed on the small faces of said panels (2, 3, 10). Opposite retaining profiles match said retaining profiles in such a manner that similar panels (2, 3, 10) can be interlinked. The panels are provided with opposite first retaining profiles that are configured in such a manner that on a panel (2, 3, 10) being in first line a new panel (2) can be locked in second line by attaching the new panel (2) to the installed panel (3) at a temporary angle relative to the installed panel (3) and then swiveling it down into the plane of the installed panel (3). The panel further comprises opposite second retaining elements that comprise corresponding hook elements (6, 7).Type: GrantFiled: July 4, 2002Date of Patent: November 18, 2008Assignee: Akzenta Paneele + Profile GmbHInventor: Hans-Jürgen Hannig
