    Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing pills comprises at least one ring-shaped blister pack, in which cavities containing pills are distributed, such that the openings of the cavities therein are directed outwardly, as well as a flat pocket dispenser. It has a first part for receiving the pack in a ring shape, and a second part fitting onto the first part and encasing the blister pack together with the first part. The first part and/or the second part comprises at least one passage opening with which a pill to be dispensed can be aligned. A push-out means can be positioned in line with the respective pills of the blister pack and with the passage opening and be operated for pushing out the pill to be dispensed through the passage opening. There are provided means for rotatably positioning the blister pack stepwise relative to the part of the apparatus including the push-out means. The blister pack itself and the part containing the push-out means comprise the means for the stepwise positioning of the blister pack.

The Group VIII and Group VIB metals comprise from about 50 wt. % to about 100 wt. %, calculated as oxides, of the total weight of the bulk catalyst particles. The metals are present in the catalyst composition in their oxidic and/or sulfidic state. The catalyst composition has an X-ray diffraction pattern in which the characteristic full width at half maximum does not exceed 2.5° when the Group VIB metals are molybdenum, tungsten, and, optionally, chromium, or does not exceed 4.0° when the Group VIB metals are molybdenum and chromium or tungsten and chromium.

    Abstract: This patent describes economical and environment-friendly processes for the synthesis of Mg-containing non-Al anionic clays. It involves a one-step process wherein a suspension comprising a trivalent metal source and at least a magnesium containing source as a divalent metal source is reacted to obtain a magnesium-containing non-Al anionic clay. The anionic clay has interlayers containing anions comprising hydroxycarbonate, carbonate, bicarbonate, acetate, hydroxyacetate, oxalate, nitrate, hydroxyl, and/or formate or mixtures thereof. There is no necessity to wash or filter the product. It can be spray dried directly to form microspheres or can be extruded to form shaped bodies. The product can be combined with other ingredients in the manufacture of catalysts, absorbents, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, detergents, and other commodity products that contain anionic clays.
