Abstract: An industrial rollup door to selectively cover a doorway opening or to provide industrial guarding is presented. The rollup door comprises door leaf, comprised of lamellae, or panels a flexible strip as a lifting belt for selectively lifting and lowering the door, a continuous dampening profile running along the outer surface of each lamellae near an end, and a rotatable spiral disc to accept the lamellae as the door is lifted and to release the lamellae as the door is lowered.

The purpose of such precise application of the resin is to control functional properties of the fabric, such as permeability and abrasion resistance. The polymeric resin material is set by means appropriate to its composition, and, optionally, may be abraded to provide the polymeric resin material above the surface plane of the base substrate with a uniform thickness.

Abstract: A fabric having one or more guides attached to a wear surface of the fabric so to encapsulate fifty percent or more of the fabric caliper. Advantageously, the encapsulation of the fabric by the guide, and not the chemical affinity of the materials, is the mechanism that attaches the guide and fabric. Consequently, the bond strength is equal to the tear strength of either the fabric or guide material alone.

Specifically, the invention relates to a method of ultrasonic welding the seam termination yarn ends of a fabric using a controlled gap. A mechanical stop may be employed to control the distance or gap between the horn and anvil to a predetermined level based on the depth of welding and amount of weld energy. By adding another degree of control, the ultrasonic gap welding technique of the present invention is able to achieve fabric seams that are stronger than conventional seams, and even those enhanced with gluing, and is conducive to formation of fabric seams by spot welding or along the termination yarn ends of the fabric.
