Abstract: A system translates a first biometric template of a first type to enable comparison with a second biometric template of a second type. In one example, a canonical template structure to which the first and second biometric templates adhere may be identified and used to compare corresponding portions of the first and second biometric templates. In another example, types and associated formats of the first and second biometric templates may be identified to enable both to be translated to a general format that can then be compared. In still other examples, an identification system may use the first biometric template to determine an identity associated with first biometric data to either retrieve second stored biometric data associated with the identity of a same type as the second biometric template or verify that an account in an external system having a record storing the second biometric template is associated with the identity.

Abstract: In biometric ticketing, physical token-less ticketing system using biometrics, a person may be identified using a digital representation of a biometric. Ticketing information may be ascertained based on the identification. The ticketing information may be provided, actions may be performed using the ticketing information, and so on. In some implementations, a checkpoint device receives biometric data from a person. A digital representation of the biometric data is used to obtain an identifier from an identification system. The digital representation of the biometric data may not be included in the identifier. The identifier is used by to obtain ticketing information from a ticketing system. The person may be allowed or denied entry into a ticketed area based on the ticketing information.

Abstract: A hardware system enables computer network interaction between network identity services and account-based service applications. In some examples, the network identity service biometrically identifies people. The network identity services and/or account-based service applications interact to exchange data in order to monitor, track, initiate, and/or cooperatively and/or individually perform various functions while protecting data that should not be shared and minimizing communication network usage and hardware and software resources. This interaction enables both to accomplish more and different tasks than they could individually while improving operational efficiency of hardware and software components of both.

Abstract: A biometric exit system controls exit of a person from an area with an asset. The system obtains a digital representation of a biometric for the person. The system receives an identification of the person using the digital representation of the biometric. Using the identification, the system receives permissions regarding whether or not the person may exit the area with the asset. If the person is permitted, the system allows the person to exit. Upon allowing exit, the system may transmit a message to the person. The message may include a confirmation of a transaction and/or one or more offers to which the person can respond.

Abstract: A processing unit and a mobile identity information controlled financial account device may communicate. The processing unit receives at least one digital representation of a biometric, obtains identity information using the at least one digital representation of the biometric, and determines whether or not to transmit an authorization signal to the mobile identity information controlled financial account device that enables use of the mobile identity information controlled financial account device in at least one transaction involving at least one financial account. The mobile identity information controlled financial account device may be usable for the at least one transaction when the mobile identity information controlled financial account device receives the authorization signal.

Abstract: A biometric capture device is operative to adjust one or more environmental parameters to enhance a range (e.g., distance) at which a biometric may be captured from a subject. For example, a sample biometric capture device may be, include, or otherwise incorporate a retinal or iris scanner configured to capture an image of the retina or iris (e.g., a biometric) when the retina or iris is illuminated by infrared light. Generally, the amount of infrared light required to accurately image the retina or iris increases with the distance of the subject's retina or iris from the image capture device. The biometric capture device may capture a facial image using a first image sensor, identify a face in the facial image, capture an iris image using a second image sensor guided by the facial image, and identify a person using the iris image.

Abstract: A system performs digital notarization using a biometric identification service. A signature requesting service receives a request to validate a digital item with a signature for a person. The signature requesting service provides a payload that identifies the digital item and/or the person to an identity service. The identity service obtains one or more digital representations of biometrics for the person, determines an identity for the person, and returns a data structure including the payload and one or more identity attestations regarding the determined identity. The identity service encrypts at least a portion of the data structure using a private encryption key. A public encryption key for the identity service can then be used to decrypt the portion to verify that the data structure was generated by the identity service after determining the identity. In this way, validation can be verified to the full trust level of the identification service.
