Abstract: A sanding device for use with sandpaper sheets comprises a base connected to two lateral extensions by flexible connectors. The base further includes a plurality of spikes pointed towards the extensions and positioned inside slots in the extensions when the device is in a closed position. In order to load and unload sandpaper sheets, a lateral extension may be lifted against a tension force from the flexible connector. The stress on the flexible connector is limited by the contact of two edges which are positioned to prevent the flexible connector from undergoing stress beyond a specified level.
Abstract: There is provided in a preferred embodiment of the present invention a multifunction safety knife having two cutting positions. The knife includes a head having a protected lower opening and a frontal opening. A bottom cutting edge of a blade is exposed by the protected lower opening and a front cutting edge of the blade is selectively exposed by the frontal opening. The head further includes a pointed hook for puncturing film prior to cutting a length of it.
Abstract: A pouring adaptor assembly compatible with multiple bucket lid types includes a pouring tube and a threaded adaptor. The pouring tube includes an opening and an angled proximate end for steadily pouring a liquid. The threaded adaptor includes an inner thread and an outer thread, the two threads for connecting to bucket lid openings of varying widths. The pouring tube includes a tapered lower ridge for snap connecting to a bucket lid having a non-threaded opening.
Abstract: A folding knife for applying a cutting action includes a blade assembly having a guard configured to cover the cutting edge of the blade when the knife is not in use. The guard is maintained in a normally blade covered position by a resilient member. The blade guard has a guard actuator for providing at least one motion for a user to move the blade guard from the normally blade covered position to an un-guarded or cutting position. The knife further includes an actuator for unlocking the blade assembly from the closed position to a locked open position. Upon depression of the actuator, the blade assembly will automatically open to a locked open position from a locked closed position.

Abstract: There is provided in a preferred embodiment of the present invention an improved packaging device comprising a plastic casing having a depressed compartment, a plurality of wings extending from the plastic casing and a connector to secure the wings of the plastic casing around the product. Preferably, the improved packaging device also includes a folding hanger that extends from the proximate end of the plastic casing, and is used to display the product.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of a safety carton cutter comprises a first frame member pivotably connected to a second frame member to form a housing. Inside the housing mounted on the first frame member is a blade receptacle having a latch, a blade carrier, a biasing member and a follower. The follower is adapted to communicate with a cam profile located on a cam in the first frame member. The configuration of the follower and cam profile provides an extending and retracting mechanism that keeps the blade in a constant exposed position before and during the cutting process, and then allows the blade to retract immediately after the cutting process is complete.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of a caulk tool comprises a body member having a raised handle and two working heads. The first working head is adapted for the application of caulk and is connected to the first descending end of the raised handle. The first working head preferably comprises a triangular member formed of soft plastic material. The triangular member is rotatable, having three tips of varying size. The second working head is adapted for the removal of old caulk and is connected to the second descending end of the raised handle axially opposed to the first working head. The second working head preferably comprises a metallic head having two tips suited to remove old caulk. In a preferred embodiment, a third working head in the form of a flat scraper is positioned adjacent to said second working head.

Abstract: A paint shield for preventing the misapplication of coating material comprises a shielding member having a leading edge and a base member, an extension handle for enabling a user to hold the leading edge of the paint shielding member against a surface, a pivot member connected to the base member for angularly positioning the shielding member, and a storage location positioned in said base member for storing the pivot member and the extension handle when the pivot member is selectively removed from the base member. The pivot member preferably includes two walls having at least one frictional pad disposed on an inner surface of each wall for frictionally engaging the base member and allowing a user to angularly pivot the shielding member without loosening the pivot member.
