Abstract: A position in a left-right direction of a display position of a facility figure representing a facility is set to a position overlapping with a virtual line parallel to a traveling lane as viewed from a driver (c). A position in an up-down direction of the display position is determined to be a position overlapping with a road surface on the front side, the position separated upward by H1 from a lower end of a display area of a heads-up display when a distance L from a current position CP to a position TP of a facility is a distance ThL (b1), to be a position separated by H4 (H4<h1) when the distance L is zero, and such that distances H2 and H3 separated upward from the lower end of the display area gradually change from the distance H1 to the distance H4 as the distance L decreases from the distance ThL to zero (b2 and b3). The distance H1 is set such that the facility figure is displayed below a point facing the facility on the road surface on the front side when the distance L is the distance ThL.

  • Patent number: 10338680
Abstract: Provided is an operating apparatus having a feedback mechanism. An apparatus main body is supported on a base using a plurality of plurality of supporting metal plates. Each of the supporting metal plates includes a first mounting piece, a second mounting piece, and an intermediate plate. When a pressing force of a finger on an operating surface of the apparatus main body acts, the intermediate plate is deformed to depress the apparatus main body, thereby operating a detecting member. When a feedback force from the feedback mechanism acts on the apparatus main body, the second mounting piece is bent to move the apparatus main body along the feedback force.

  • Publication number: 20190196184
Abstract: In a display system, a HUD displays a virtual marker D indicating a vehicle shape which guides a traveling direction of a user's vehicle. The display system measures an inter-vehicle distance between the user's vehicle and a forward vehicle and determines a display position and a display size of the virtual marker in accordance with the inter-vehicle distance. The virtual marker is shifted to a near side of the user's vehicle when the inter-vehicle distance is small, whereas the virtual marker is shifted to a far side of the user's vehicle when the inter-vehicle distance is large. A portion of the virtual marker is brought into a non-display state as if the portion is absorbed into the user's vehicle when the inter-vehicle distance is reduced, and the virtual marker is not displayed when the distance is further reduced.

  • Publication number: 20190182435
Abstract: When a vehicle stops due to a red light, an image of a scene viewed from a virtual point of view, which moves along a virtual point-of-view moving route, in a virtual line-of-sight direction is displayed on a head-up display. Assuming that a next intersection at which to change lane according to a guidance route is the target intersection, a combination of the virtual point of view and virtual line-of-sight direction is gradually changed from a combination in which a scene is viewed from the point of view of the user in the forward direction of the vehicle to a combination for taking a bird's eye view of a geographic range that includes the current position of the vehicle and then to a combination for taking a bird's eye view of a geographic range that includes the target intersection from a point near the target intersection.

  • Patent number: 10319393
Abstract: When an instruction to start voice input is received from the user, a gain controller acquires, from a gain table which defines a correspondence between vehicle speed ranges and gains, a gain corresponding to a vehicle speed range including the vehicle speed of a vehicle detected by a vehicle speed detector, and sets the acquired gain as the gain of an input amplifier that amplifies an input audio signal output by a microphone. As a gain corresponding to each vehicle speed range, the gain table records a gain of the input amplifier corresponding, in an experimentally determined frequency distribution of peak values in the vehicle speed range, to a maximum frequency in the range of magnitude of voice output as an input audio signal by the microphone and to be input to a speech recognition engine as voice having a magnitude within the input range of the speech recognition engine.
