Abstract: A reheat combustor for a gas turbine engine includes a fuel/gas mixer for mixing fuel, air and combustion gases produced by a primary combustor and expanded through a high pressure turbine. Fuel injectors inject fuel into the mixer together with spent cooling air previously used for convectively cooling the reheat combustor. The fuel mixture is burnt in an annular reheat combustion chamber prior to expansion through low pressure turbine inlet guide vanes. The fuel/gas mixer and optionally the combustion chamber define cooling paths through which cooling air flows to convectively cool their walls. The fuel injectors are also convectively cooled by the cooling air after it has passed through the fuel/gas mixer cooling paths. The low pressure turbine inlet guide vanes may also define convective cooling paths in series with the combustion chamber cooling paths.

Abstract: In a gas turbine, a plurality of burners, which are arranged concentrically to the rotational axis in a regular arrangement, each directing hot gas through an associated combustion chamber outlet into a turbine, at the inlet of which a second plurality of stator blades are arranged in a ring, uniformly spaced apart around the rotational axis. Cooling openings are provided, which are distributed over the circumference, through which cooling air is injected into the hot gas flow at the combustion chamber outlet. An improvement of the flow conditions in the hot gas is achieved by the cooling openings being divided into first cooling opening groups and second cooling opening groups. The arrangement of the first cooling opening groups corresponds to the arrangement of the stator blades, and in that the arrangement of the second cooling opening groups corresponds to the regular arrangement of the burners.
Abstract: The method for manufacturing a stator of an electric machine includes providing a lamination element extending over an annular sector, horizontally moving the lamination element towards a fitting zone, then angularly regulating the lamination element position, and connecting the lamination element to other lamination elements to define the stator.
Abstract: A method for barring a rotor of a thermally loaded turbomachine includes stopping normal operation of the turbomachine; providing a barring device for rotating the rotor about a machine axis; coupling the barring device to the rotor; letting the rotor cool down during cool down of the rotor rotating the rotor by means of the barring device. A damage of the machine due to thermally induced buckling during the barring process is avoided by consecutively determining the force or torque applied to the rotor by the barring device for rotating the rotor and/or the circumferential speed of the rotor during barring. The rotation of the rotor is controlled by means of the barring device in dependence of the determined force or torque and/or circumferential speed in order to reduce a bending or imbalance of the rotor, which is due to a nonuniform temperature distribution on the rotor during cool down.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for operating a gas turbine plant which is supplied with a fuel gas via a compressor station. The compressor station includes a compressor which compresses the fuel gas which is fed via a gas feed line and delivers it via at least one control valve to a combustion chamber of the gas turbine plant. A bypass system is arranged in parallel to the compressor via which fuel gas can be directed in a switchable manner past the compressor to the at least one control valve. An energy-saving operation can be achieved in a simple manner by continuously measuring the fuel gas pressure at the outlet of the at least one control valve. A minimum fuel gas pressure, which is desired (e.g., necessary) for operation of the gas turbine, at the inlet of the at least one control valve is determined from the measured pressure values in each case.
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a turbo-machine comprising a stator and a rotor arranged rotatable inside the stator as well as at least one electric heating device which is arranged on the surface of at least part of the stator for active clearance control. Besides the turbo-machine, a method for operating the active clearance control comprising electric heating devices is disclosed.

Abstract: A rotor is provided for an axial-throughflow turbo machine, which carries a plurality of moving blades which are each pushed with a blade root into a rotor groove extending about the axis and are held. The blade root includes a hammer root with a hammerhead and is supported on radial stop faces of the rotor groove which lie further outward in the radial direction, against centrifugal forces acting on the moving blades, and are supported on axial stop faces lying further inward in the radial direction, against axial forces which act on the moving blade. The rotor groove has at its bottom, to reduce thermal stresses, an axially and radially widened bottom region with a continuously curved cross-sectional contour. In such a rotor, an advantageous adaptation of the blading is achieved by the blade root of the moving blades being adapted to the widened bottom region in the radial direction.
