Abstract: A display device for a fluid filler gun head includes a carrying body and a frame attached to an upper surface of the carrying body, defining a display portion for removable display placards. The carrying body can be removable from the gun head or may be an integral part of the gun head itself. A housing is defined in the carrying body for housing a communication apparatus. The communication apparatus can include a recorder assembly for playing prerecorded audible messages, or a transmitter/receiver assembly enabling communication between a consumer using the fluid filler gun and a remote service station attendant.
Abstract: In a display apparatus attachable to a filler gun of a fuel pump, a first display carrying body adapted to be fitted onto the filler gun to display a message on a message card and display information about fuel type delivered from the filler gun, and a second display carrying body releasably attachable to the first display carrying body at a rear end thereof said second display carrying body carrying message indicating that the fuel pump or filler gun is out of order.
Abstract: Display apparatus is removably attachable to the filler gun of a fuel pump, the filler gun including in series connection a gun nozzle having a forward discharge end and a rear end, a gun head having both a forward end portion which connects with the rear end of the gun nozzle and a rearward handle portion whose forward end connects to the rear of the gun nozzle and a rearward handle portion whose forward end connects to the rear end of said gun head.
Abstract: A fluid filler gun for delivering fluid into a fluid tank, the fluid filler gun having a pivotable gun barrel. The gun barrel pivots relative to the gun head about a ball joint. The connection of the gun barrel with the gun head comprises a ball with a fluid flow conduit therethrough, where one end of the flow conduit is connected to the fluid outlet of an actuating valve in the gun head, and the other end of the flow conduit opens towards a fluid conduit in the gun barrel. A carrier element for the gun barrel fluid conduit is shaped on the inside substantially complementary to the ball and at least partially encompasses the ball with a spacing therebetween, allowing rotatable movement of the carrier element about the ball. The carrier element has a fluid flow conduit communicating with the flow conduit in the ball, and the fluid flow conduit of the gun barrel is connected to the outlet of the fluid flow conduit of the carrier element.
Abstract: An apparatus prevents damage to a fuel pump filler gun. An arm pivots above a gas pump. A retractable wire extends from the arm and attaches to the filler gun. The length of the wire is less than the height at which the arm pivots above the ground. If the filler gun is dropped, it will hang suspended from the wire, and will not strike the ground.
