Abstract: Sharing video footage recorded by audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, such as video doorbells and security cameras. When an A/V recording and communication device records video footage of suspicious activity, or even criminal activity, a user viewing the footage may alert his or her neighbors by sharing the video. In various embodiments, the user may share the video with anyone of the user's choosing, including neighbors, friends, and family.

Abstract: Features are disclosed for dynamically generating enhanced content showing an item to simulate a physics property of the item via an interaction that will initiate such interactive features. A physics model may be generated to enhance existing content. To generate the physics model, the system analyzes the content such as to detect a feature of the item (e.g., zipper on a clothing item or button on an electronic device item) shown in the content. Some aspects also consider the access device rendering the enhanced content to ensure the enhanced content is appropriately selected and formatted for presentation via the access device.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method for harnessing the heat generated by one or more components (e.g., a set of IR LEDs) of an A/V recording and communication device in order to manage the temperature of one or more batteries of the A/V recording and communication device. Some aspects of the present embodiments raise the temperature of the battery in a cold weather without requiring any additional electrical power (e.g., without consuming any additional power for heating up the battery). In one aspect of the present embodiments, a thermally conductive sheet is coupled to a printed circuit board to which one or more IR LEDs are coupled. The thermally conductive sheet transfers the waste heat generated by the IR LEDs of the A/V recording and communication device to a rechargeable battery of the device.

Abstract: Influential token combinations corresponding to various classes associated with a machine learning model trained to classify text collections expressed in a first language are identified. A similarity metric between one or more influential token combinations and a classification candidate text collection (expressed in a second language) is determined. A substitute text collection corresponding to the classification candidate is generated based at least partly on the similarity metric. The substitute text collection is used as input to one or more machine learning models to identify a predicted class of the classification candidate.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for curating playlists of content for provisioning and presenting to users a seamless cross fade experience from one piece of content to the next within the playlist. In embodiments, information that identifies portions of content without audio or video data may be maintained. Further, metadata may be generated that identifies a cross fade points for the content in response to receiving input from a user device of a user. In an embodiment, each cross fade point may identify a time window of the content for interleaving with other content. In accordance with at least one embodiment, the metadata may be transmitted based at least in part on a selection of the metadata for the content.
Abstract: Network hardware devices are organized in a wireless mesh network (WMN) including multiple home access node (HAN) relay devices located in a geographic area and separated from one another by a distance. To avoid an obstruction preventing terrestrial line-of-sight (LOS) communications, an aerial reflector is deployed for terrestrial non-line-of-sight (NLOS) communications between first and second HAN relay devices. The aerial reflector device is positioned at an aerial location above a first terrestrial location of the first HAN relay device and a second terrestrial location of the second HAN relay device. The aerial reflector device includes a reflective surface that is positioned and oriented to provide terrestrial NLOS communications between a radio of the first HAN relay device and a radio of the second HAN relay device.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for selectively and dynamically determining one or more words of an electronic book to present with comprehension guides. For instance, an electronic device rendering an electronic book may determine whether to display some, all, or no words of the book with comprehension guides for words within the electronic book based on word difficulty, contextual importance or aspects of the user. Techniques are also provided for determining the content of comprehension guides to be presented with the words.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for generating stitched video data by combining video data from multiple image capture devices. For example, video data from a first image capture device and a second image capture device located near the first image capture device may be combined to generate unique panoramas. The system may determine transitions between the video data based on a focus distance to improve the stitched video data. The system may remove individual objects from first video data by substituting corresponding portions of second image data. The system may determine depth information associated with a first object represented in the video data and may add additional objects in front of or behind the first object, properly scaling and masking the additional object. The system may generate a virtual environment by weighting images from individual image capture devices and the virtual environment may be three dimensional.

Abstract: A method for configuring router can include identifying from a first router, neighbor routers in a router network by passing messages on the router network asking to establish a relationship with the neighbor routers. A plurality of configuration modules and associated plurality of rules including self-configuration information for configuring the first router, are received from the identified neighbor routers at the first router. A router role associated with the first router is determined. The determined router role is matched with one or more router roles associated with the plurality of configuration modules. A configuration module is selected from the plurality of configuration modules based on the matching. Using the first router, the rules associated with the selected configuration module are applied in order to self-configure the first router for use in forwarding messages through the router network.
Abstract: A system and method for obtaining a request to perform a data operation with a volume, wherein the volume is a logical storage space in which data objects may be stored, determining a plurality of zones for performing the data operation with the volume, wherein each zone of the plurality of zones comprises a series of sectors of a computer-readable storage medium that forms an append-only section of the computer-readable storage medium, and performing the data operation with the volume on the plurality of zones.

Abstract: A reflected light identification (RLID) system uses light to communicate stored information across long distances with minimal interference. The RLID system may include a light source that directs an incident light signal to an RLID structure, which then transmits an encoded light signal to a sensor. The RLID system may include a passive RLID structure (i.e., a structure that does not include power source) such as an RLID reflection surface that includes layered reflective films that reflect the incident light signal back in multiple reflections that serially encodes data. The RLID system may also include an active RLID structure (i.e., a structure that includes power source) that uses energy harvesting to extract and accumulate power from an incident light signal, and then uses the harvested energy to transmit a return signal.
Abstract: Technology for satellite-based content delivery network (CDN) is described. The satellite-based CDN uses a network architecture to provide global high-speed Internet service from above the sky through various aircrafts such as high-altitude airships, satellites, space stations, and eventually the lunar data centers by taking into consideration of the technology advancements in the RF and optical wireless communications. The satellite-based CDN provides content delivery over data networks, aviation, data storage, and edge caching. The satellite-based CDN supports both the delay-sensitive traffic such as interactive services, voice calls, and video calls that consume medium to low data bandwidth, and the more delay-tolerant but high bandwidth Internet content items such as streaming and background services (e.g. email, FTP).
Abstract: Servers in datacenters, mobile devices and virtualized servers without human interaction may experience difficulties in establishing entropy in a virtualized computing environment. Entropy is an important foundation for cryptography and a lack of entropy has led to weaknesses that can be used to break cryptographic systems in the past.

Abstract: An audio event detection system that subsamples input audio data using a series of recurrent neural networks to create data of a coarser time scale than the audio data. Data frames corresponding to the coarser time scale may then be upsampled to data frames that match the finer time scale of the original audio data frames. The resulting data frames are then scored with a classifier to determine a likelihood that the individual frames correspond to an audio event. Each frame is then weighted by its score and a composite weighted frame is created by summing the weighted frames and dividing by the cumulative score. The composite weighted frame is then scored by the classifier. The resulting score is taken as an overall score indicating a likelihood that the input audio data includes an audio event.
Abstract: Configurable core domains of a speech processing system are described. A core domain output data format for a given command is originally configured with default content portions. When a user indicates additional content should be output for the command, the speech processing system creates a new output data format for the core domain. The new output data format is user specific and includes both default content portions as well as user preferred content portions.
