Abstract: A multiband antenna includes a feed unit, a first radio unit, a second radio unit, and a resonance unit. When feed signals are input from the feed unit, the feed signals are respectively transmitted to the first radio unit and the second radio unit to enable the first radio unit and the second radio unit to respectively receive and send wireless signals of different frequencies, and the resonance unit is driven to resonate and is thereby enabled to receive and send wireless signals of predetermined frequencies, such that the multiband antenna is capable of receiving and sending wireless signals in more than two frequency bands.

Abstract: A method for automatically calibrating output power from a power amplifier of a communication device is provided. The method includes acquiring present output power values corresponding to preset current power calibration values by testing, and the theoretical values from calculation corresponding to the auto-power calibrate (APC) values not obtained from testing. Using the present output power and the theoretical values, the output power values from the power amplifier under different APC values can be further calibrated automatically.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for releasing local data contents for an IP-based data access, wherein an evaluation unit (2) evaluates a first IP connection (IP-V1) and extracts an IP destination address (IP:B) and an authorisation verification generating unit (3) generates an authorisation verification (BN) for the data access to the local storage unit (3). An authorisation message generating unit (4) generates an authorisation message on the basis of the authorisation verification (BN) and the extracted IP destination address (IP:B). A trigger unit (5) triggers a transmission process of the generated authorisation message over a second IP connection (IP-V2) which is different from the first IP connection (IP-V1).

Abstract: A data moving processor includes a code memory coupled to a code fetch circuit and a decode circuit coupled to the code fetch circuit. An address stack is coupled to the decode circuit and configured to store address data. A general purpose stack is coupled to the decode circuit and configured to store other data. The data moving processor uses data from the general purpose stack to perform calculations. The data moving processor uses address data from the address stack to identify source and destination memory locations. The address data may be used to drive an address line of a memory during a read or write operation. The address stack and general purpose stack are separately controlled using bytecode.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for a data call setup comprises receiving an origination message by a radio call control (RCC) and by a main call control (MCC), receiving an assignment request message by the MCC and by the RCC, and receiving a traffic channel assignment message by a channel element control (CEC) and by the MCC.
Abstract: Disclosed is a folded dipole antenna device which is of an unbalanced feed type and includes an antenna element of approximately plate-like loop structure, connected to an antenna feed point and an antenna ground provided on a base plate. In the folded dipole antenna device, the antenna element of loop structure includes a pair of first element sections which extend approximately parallel to the base plate, a second element section formed by merging element sections that are folded back from both ends of the first element sections and extend approximately parallel to the first element sections, and a third element section which extends from a folded top part of the second element section toward the first element sections and an end part thereof is close to the first element sections.
Abstract: A method and system for synchronizing words in an input text of a speech with a continuous recording of the speech. A received input text includes previously recorded content of the speech to be reproduced. A synthetic speech corresponding to the received input text is generated. Ratio data including a ratio between the respective pronunciation times of words included in the received text in the generated synthetic speech is computed. The ratio data is used to determine an association between erroneously recognized words of the received text and a time to reproduce each erroneously recognized word. The association is outputted in a recording medium and/or displayed on a display device.
Abstract: A self-contained breathing apparatus safety mask, a system and a method includes a radio frequency identification tag reader arranged to communication with a radio frequency tag so that the breathing apparatus can obtain an identification of the user for wireless radio group communication with breathing apparatuses of other users. The identifier contains information for establishing and changing the group communication parameters. The system also includes a remote speaker microphone in short range radio communication with the mask. The remote speaker microphone may be connected to private mobile system.
Abstract: A mobile terminal apparatus checks if a user is a proper user based on the operation of the user and, if the result of authentication is negative, uploads predetermined data, which is part of data stored in a memory, to a predetermined server. After the transmission is completed, the mobile terminal apparatus erases the uploaded data from the memory. It is also possible to instruct the mobile terminal apparatus to upload and erase data from an external source using an electronic mail or a telephone tone signal sequence. This may protect data contained in mobile terminal apparatus that has been lost, from a person who improperly attempts to access the data.
Abstract: In order to provide third party verification of the content and delivery of an electronic message such as an e-snail, a server receives the e-mail intended to be sent or forwarded to a specified addressee, and “tags” the message to indicate that it is “registered” with the provider of the service. The server then establishes a direct telnet connection with the addressee's Mail User Agent (MUA), and transmits the tagged email to the addressee's MUA, as well as to the MUA's of any other addressees. After receiving responses from the receiving MUA's that the message was successfully received, the server then creates and forwards to the message originator an electronic receipt.
Abstract: A technique for managing the display of content on a display of an electronic device may be based on a distance of the user to the display. The distance may be estimated by analyzing video data to detect a face of the user and establish a distance parameter based on a relationship between facial features. Based on this information, the displayed content may be adjusted to facilitate easy viewing of the displayed content, such as by changing the size of the displayed content, the layout of the displayed content, or the number of visual elements that make up the displayed content.
Abstract: A device may include an image capture device and logic. The logic may be configured to receive voice input from a user and identify the voice input. The logic may further be configured to perform a control action associated with the image capturing device based on the identified voice input.
Abstract: Methods for adjusting a picture of an object captured by a camera in a mobile radio communication terminal include defining a first camera angle relative to the object and capturing an image of the object by means of the camera from a second camera angle relative to the object. The second camera angle is offset from the first camera angle. The methods further include storing image data relating to the captured image, and generating an angularly adjusted image of the object in response to the image data and an angular relation between the first camera angle and the second camera angle. Corresponding mobile radio communication terminals are also disclosed. The terminals include an image processing system configured to process an image of an object captured by a camera from a second camera angle by generating an angularly adjusted image of the object in response to image data for the image, and in response to an angular relation between the second camera angle and a first camera angle.

The server provides the portable communication device with an identifier allowing the data file to be located on the server via a wide area network and transfers or streams the file over the local network to the portable communication device.
Abstract: An electronic device providing ringtone control and method include an infrared sensor. When the electronic device receives an incoming call, the electronic device turns on the infrared sensor if the incoming call has not been answered within a first time period. If one or more human bodies are detected by the sensor, the electronic device turns off the ringtone of the electronic device when the incoming call has not been answered within a second time period.
