  • Patent number: 11219026
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing quasi-licensed spectrum access within an area or application so as to enable “end to end” IoT (Internet of Things) device connectivity. In one embodiment, the quasi-licensed spectrum utilizes 3.5 GHz CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) spectrum allocated by a Federal or commercial SAS (Spectrum Access System) to a managed content delivery network that includes one or more wireless access nodes (e.g., CBSDs (Citizens Broadband radio Service Devices) and IoT hubs or gateways) in data communication with a controller. In one variant, the controller dynamically allocates (i) spectrum within the area or venue within CBRS bands, and (ii) MSO (multiple systems operator) users or subscribers to CBRS bands or IoT (Internet of Things) bands (e.g., public ISM (industrial, scientific and medical)) bands to maximize connectivity and performance.

  • Patent number: 11219062
Abstract: Wireless communications between a base station and one or more wireless devices are described. Multiple downlink reference signals may correspond to multiple random access resources for a random access procedure. A base station may provide a set of downlink reference signals before a set of physical random access channels (PRACHs) are available for use. A wireless device performing a random access procedure may select two or more random access resource occasions (e.g., PRACH occasions) based on the downlink reference signals. Using a listen before talk (LBT) procedure, the wireless device may select a first available random access resource occasion from the two or more random access resource occasions that are determined to be clear.

  • Patent number: 11218971
Abstract: The disclosure provides a method and a device in a node for wireless communication. A first node first receives a first bit field and Q second-type bit field(s), and then transmits L radio signal(s) at a first power value; the first bit field is used for determining a first reference signal resource set; each of the Q second-type bit field(s) indicates one power offset; the first power value is only related to power offsets indicated by all second-type bit fields among the Q second-type bit field(s) that correspond to a first index, and the first index is one of K1 indexes associated to the first reference signal resource set; and the first index is related to the L reference signal resource set(s). Multiple times of repetition based uplink transmissions employ a uniform power control mechanism under multiple beams, which reduces hardware requirements at terminal side and improves transmission performance.

  • Patent number: 11218766
Abstract: A data stream, such as a video stream, may comprise one or more event trigger messages indicating an upcoming event in the stream. The time (e.g., pre-roll time) between the event trigger message and its corresponding event may be modified, based on rules, to provide a network operator, service provider or downstream recipient more (or less) time to prepare for the event. This may be accomplished by moving the event trigger to an earlier (or later) location in the stream, and/or editing the event trigger to indicate the different pre-roll time.
