  • Patent number: 10939142
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for content fragmentation, distribution, protection, and re-constitution within a content distribution network. In one embodiment, the apparatus and methods enable distribution of content fragments to edge nodes (which may include user or subscriber CPE), thereby enabling edge networks or membership groups to be established wherein content can be shared solely at the edge. In one variant, high data bandwidth, symmetric uplink/downlink, low latency PHY links (e.g., 5G NR-compliant wireless interfaces) between the edge nodes participating in the edge networks or membership groups are used such that particular quality of service/experience performance requirements can be met. Distribution of the fragments also advantageously enhances redundancy and security.

  • Patent number: 10938740
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include systems, methods, and devices for routing communications that ingress into a telecommunications network by appending a virtualized trunk group identifier or other customer identifying number within a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) messages associated with the communications. In one particular embodiment, a user field within header information of SIP messages may be appended with a trunk group identifier unique to a particular customer device providing the communication to the network. Specifically, a customer premise device (such as an integrated access device (IAD)) may be configured to append a customer-specific trunk group identifier number into a portion of a header of a SIP message of the communication. The call and associated SIP message information, including the appended trunk group ID, may then be routed to a host routing device.

  • Patent number: 10935732
Abstract: A protective assembly method using a transparent layer within the fiber interconnect system aids in optical coupling by preventing an air gap from forming between the fiber cores within a connector. A fiber protection device made of a thin transparent film, which includes an adhesive layer, is applied over the fiber end-faces at the connector interface, the film having characteristics which allows it to conform to the fiber end and minimize coupling loss between fibers. According to one aspect, the film is part of a cartridge that provides structural support for the film to facilitate application of the fiber protection device. The film may be divided by perforate patterns that define one or more fiber protection devices formed by the film. The assembly method can include usage of an applicator base plate upon which the cartridge is mounted. According to another aspect, the film may be part of a single-use disposable pod for application of a single fiber protection device.

  • Patent number: 10939443
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and device in User Equipment and a base station for dynamic scheduling. The UE first receives first information; and then receives second information; and operates a first radio signal. The first information comprises Q fields, a first field is used to determine a first antenna port set, and the first field is one field of the Q fields. The first antenna port set comprises a positive integer of antenna port(s), the second information is transmitted by an antenna port within the first antenna port set. The first information and the second information are both dynamically configured. The Q is a positive integer. The operating refers to receiving or transmitting. The second information is determined scheduling information of the first radio signal. The method ensures the robustness of scheduling signaling reception in multi-antenna scenarios, avoids excessive overhead, and improves transmission efficiency.

  • Patent number: 10939459
Abstract: Disclosed are a scheduling-free transmission method and apparatus. The method comprises: monitoring a service interaction state to obtain a service requirement evaluation result; determining whether the service requirement evaluation result represents a low service load, and if so, allocating dedicated resources to a terminal, otherwise, allocating shared resources to the terminal; acquiring a transmission result of data transmission carried out by the terminal based on the allocated resources; and based on the transmission result, sending response information to the terminal according to a pre-set dynamic response rule. In this way, a terminal can transmit data by means of dedicated resources when a service load is low, and the terminal transmits data using shared resources when the service load is high, thereby reducing time delays, preventing resource conflicts, and increasing the transmission rate and reliability.
