Abstract: A fluid transfer apparatus is illustrated and described. The fluid transfer apparatus includes a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a fluid transfer device. The fluid inlet is associated with a fluid receptacle receiving portion, and the fluid receptacle receiving portion is configured to receive and engage at least a portion of a fluid receptacle. The fluid transfer apparatus is configurable between a first isolation state, in which the fluid transfer device is isolated from the fluid receptacle, such that the fluid container is fluidically isolated from the fluid inlet, to a second coupled state, in which the fluid transfer device is engaged with the fluid receptacle, such that the fluid receptacle is in fluid communication with the fluid inlet.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an integrated design building block with turnable modules inside, the building block comprising: a lower housing, an upper housing, and a plurality of turnable modules mechanism, the lower housing and the upper housing being fitted to form a plurality of receiving spaces, the plurality of turnable modules being disposed within the plurality of receiving spaces, respectively, wherein the turnable modules may be partially or completely received in the receiving spaces, the turnable modules each having a turnable module connection portion; the lower housing and the upper housing are fitted to form a body structure of the building block; a plurality of connection portions are provided on surfaces of the body structure; the turnable module connection portions are fitted to the plurality of connection portions on the surfaces of the body structure. The building block provided by the present disclosure has advantages of a simple mechanical structure and a low cost.

Abstract: A security tag (100) for attachment to an item comprises a pair of flat panels (102, 104) joined together by a flexible hinge (106). Each panel (103, 104) has an inner surface and an outer surface. The panels are foldable about the flexible hinge with the inner surfaces of the panels abutting each other. One panel has a retainer (112) for a flexible tie of plastics material and the other panel has an orifice (116) in alignment with the retainer (112). The security tag (100) can only be removed by breaking the plastics tie.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a method for processing plastic containers within an open aseptic converter chamber comprising a sanitized environment, a supply line, a sanitizer device, a perforator device, a sealing device, and a conveyer. During operation, the method includes: providing and filling a container with heated or heatable liquid including water; sealing the container with a seal or cap; cooling the container to create a first headspace pressure; enclosing the container within the chamber; creating an opening in the seal or cap within a sanitized environment of the perforator device; increasing the first headspace pressure to a second headspace pressure by introduction of a sanitized fluid; resealing the container within a sanitized environment of the sealing device; and, transporting or conveying the sealed container away from the chamber.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fan apparatus (1). The fan apparatus (1) includes an impeller (12A, 12B, 12C, 26A, 26B) for generating a flow of air. A drive means (14) is provided for driving the impeller (12A, 12B, 12C, 26A, 26B). At least in certain embodiments, the drive means (4) includes a turbine (18) adapted to be rotated by a working liquid supplied to the fan apparatus (1). The fan apparatus (1) described herein is suitable for providing air ventilation and/or air extraction, for example.

Abstract: A telescopic container comprises an upper part of the container, a lower part of the container and a top cover, the upper part of the container is sleeved on a periphery of the lower part of the container, and the lower part of the container can move in the upper part of the container; and the top cover is detachably connected to a top end of the upper part of the container and is provided with an air valve. A telescoping property between the lower part of the container and the upper part of the container is used in the invention, a user downwardly presses the upper part of the container, or upwardly presses the lower part of the container, or performs the two actions at the same time, so as to achieve an object of changing a capacity of the container.

Abstract: A bodywork panel for a vehicle such as a racing car or a racing motorcycle is fitted with one or more optically clear panels, which are profiled to follow the aerodynamic form of the bodywork panel. A flexible reflective display screen, for examples based on e-paper, is mounted to an inner face of each optically clear panel such that an image on the display screen is visible outside the vehicle through the optically clear panel. A paint finish on the bodywork panel continues over a peripheral region of each optically clear panel, concealing a join between it and the bodywork panel. Images displayed on the display screens via a display controller can thus appear like painted graphics on the bodywork panel, except that they may be changed as desired. Thus, graphics on the vehicle, such as advertising and sponsorship logos, can be changed at will during a race.

Abstract: A wellbore roller-reamer comprises a mandrel rotatable about a mandrel axis, and a first roller mounted around the mandrel and having an outer reaming surface for engaging a wall of a wellbore. The first roller is rotatable relative to the mandrel about a first roller axis which is offset from the mandrel axis such that, during use, rotation of the mandrel with the outer reaming surface engaged with a wall of the wellbore causes the first roller to be driven to rotate relative to the mandrel and ream the wall of the wellbore.
