Abstract: A method of buffering application data operable at a delivery control server is provided. Related systems and computer program products are also provided.
Abstract: A ride system includes a tunnel, a vehicle ride path, a ride vehicle, and a projection system. The tunnel includes a first end and a second end and is curved between the first and second ends. The vehicle ride path extends within the tunnel from an entrance at the first end of the tunnel to an intermediate position within the tunnel. The second end of the tunnel is not visible from the intermediate position. The ride vehicle travels along the vehicle ride path and decelerates as the ride vehicle approaches the intermediate position. The projection system projects images onto one or more walls of the tunnel, such that the images are synchronized with the deceleration of the ride vehicle and a perceived speed of the ride vehicle, as perceived by a guest in the ride vehicle, exceeds an actual speed of the ride vehicle.
Abstract: A personal use accessory comprising a utility plate having a front side and a rear side, a backing plate having a front side and a rear side, a first plurality of magnetically attractive elements disposed upon the rear side of said utility plate, a second plurality of magnetically attractive elements disposed upon the front side of said backing plate, and a utility element; said first and second plurality of magnetically attractive elements arranged to permit magnetic attraction between at least a subset of said first plurality of magnetically attractive elements and at least a subset of said second plurality of magnetically attractive elements, said magnetic attraction being of sufficient total force to support the personal use accessory when said utility plate and said backing plate are separated by a non-magnetic divider.
Abstract: A novel single use auto-injector for delivering a fixed amount of medicament is described. The auto-injector may include a sealed housing rotatably held in a cover. Once the auto-injector is positioned at the injection location, the user can transition the housing from a locked to an armed position. The user can then compress the sealed housing into the cover, triggering activation mechanisms that initiate the injection. A first activation mechanism engages an interlock to prevent reuse of the auto-injector. A second activation mechanism straightens and extends a curved needle to a set the exposed needle length. A third activation mechanism pierces a sealed reservoir allowing the medicament to be forced through the injection needle. Following the injection, the auto-injector expands and interlocks, retracting the needle into the auto-injector and preventing reuse.

Abstract: A fiber terminal rack mount with front-to-back fiber routing management is disclosed herein. The terminal rack mount is configured to be mounted in a remote terminal to facilitate fiber management of fiber optic cables routed from fiber optic equipment. In exemplary aspects disclosed herein, the fiber terminal rack mount comprises two vertically oriented panels with a plurality of horizontally oriented shelves positioned therebetween. The panels are configured to mount to vertical rails of a remote terminal cabinet of the fiber terminal. The panels and shelves also define routing channels for routing fiber optic cables therethrough, thereby facilitating front-to-back fiber routing between fiber optic equipment mounted in the fiber terminal. In this manner, as an example, the fiber terminal rack mount may more easily support fiber routing between back-to-back mounted fiber optic equipment, which may increase as fiber optic connectivity density increases.
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for enhancing the channel spatial diversity in a multiple antenna system (MAS) with multi-user (MU) transmissions (“MU-MAS”), by exploiting channel selectivity indicators. The proposed methods are: i) antenna selection; ii) user selection; iii) transmit power balancing. All three methods, or any combination of those, are shown to provide significant performance gains in DIDO systems in practical propagation scenarios.

Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting an accurate in-situ stress field in a wellbore in a formation are disclosed. The in-situ stress field is calculated using an optimizing process that takes into account parameters relating to induced tensile fracture that are derived from wellbore image logs and other input data relating to the wellbore. Once values for the in-situ stress field are predicted, those values can be used to generate synthetic image logs and fracturing data which can then be compared to the original image logs and fracturing data to determine the accuracy of the results and if needed repeat the operation to obtain more accurate results.
Abstract: A user interface element includes a display area configured to display a value, an increment button configured to increment the displayed value, a decrement button configured to decrement the displayed value, and a slider configured to allow a user to rapidly increase or decrease the displayed value by sliding a finger across the slider.

Abstract: A shifting tool can include an inner mandrel, engagement members engageable with a well tool component, and a detent device that prevents relative displacement between the inner mandrel and the engagement members, but permits such relative displacement in response to a predetermined longitudinal force. A method of operating a shifting tool can include engaging engagement members with a component of a well tool, and disengaging the engagement members from the component by applying a predetermined longitudinal force, thereby causing the engagement members to retract out of engagement with the component and then extend in the well. Another shifting tool can include a retraction sleeve, engagement members that engage a well tool component, and a detent device that prevents relative displacement between the retraction sleeve and the engagement members, but permits such relative displacement in response to a predetermined longitudinal force.
Abstract: The invention relates to methods for Rhizobia-mediated genetic transformation of plant cells, including soybean, canola, corn, and cotton cells. These include both VirD2-dependent and VirD2-independent methods. Bacterial species utilized include strains of Rhizobium sp., Sinorhizobium sp., and Mesorhizobium sp. Vectors for use in such transformation are also disclosed.

Abstract: Described in detail herein are methods and systems for an intake and transport system. A computing system can identify a physical object based on an attribute associated with the physical object. The computing system can determine a storage location of the physical object in the facility based on the attribute. In response identification of the physical object computing system can transmit an identifier to an autonomously controlled cart. The identifier corresponds to at least one of the attribute or the storage location. In response to receipt of the identifier activating an autonomously controlled cart can generate an indicator to indicate that the physical object is to be placed in the autonomously controlled cart. The autonomously controlled cart can autonomously navigate to the storage location in response to determining that the threshold capacity has been satisfied.

Abstract: An apparatus in one embodiment comprises a processing platform that includes a plurality of processing devices each comprising a processor coupled to a memory. The processing platform is configured to implement at least a portion of one or more cloud-based systems. The processing platform further comprises an artifact details analysis module configured to determine one or more enterprise resource attributes required for resolving a request artifact, an enterprise resource identification module configured to identify one or more available enterprise resources associated with the one or more resource attributes required for resolving the request artifact, and an artifact-resource matching module configured to determine one of the identified available enterprise resources to assign to the request artifact based on one or more usage parameters attributed to the identified available resources and route the request artifact to the determined available enterprise resource.
Abstract: Data storage system power shedding for vaulting and/or backup is provided herein. A data storage system can include a processor that executes computer-executable components, at least one memory, and a basic input/output system device that stores respective ones of the computer-executable components executed by the processor. The computer-executable components comprise a power monitor component that monitors an input alternating current power level of the data storage system, a processor management component that causes the processor to transition from a multiple-core operating mode to a single-core operating mode in response to an indication from the power monitor component that the input AC power level has decreased below a threshold, and a backup component that initiates a transfer of data stored by the at least one memory to at least one backup storage device in response to the processor being configured to operate in the single-core operating mode.
Abstract: Described is a system for geocoding social networks by minimizing total variation. A set of social media data from a social media platform having users is received. A social network is generated from the set of social media data based on communication between users. A ground truth set of locations is determined for users who make their locations public, and the ground truth set of locations is propagated across the social network to generate a location estimate for each user. A confidence measure for each location estimate is then generated.
Abstract: Backup file path determination is described. A request is input from a source device to access a backup file on a storage device. One or more paths to the backup file are output to the source device. A determination whether the backup file is accessible to the source device via a path of the one or more paths is enabled. Access to the backup file is enabled via the path if the backup file is accessible to the source device via the path.
