  • Patent number: 11600092
Abstract: A system, apparatus, method, and computer program product that enhances the efficiency and quality of matches between intellectual content generated by authors and published by peer-reviewed journals. Stable matches between works and stakeholders are modelled, in a nonbinding manner, via a stable-matching problem (Gale-Shapley) algorithm. Via bulletin-board systems acting upon deidentified data, the LONGITUDE function enables journal editors to proactively and reliably commit time and other resources to manuscripts that are most mature and otherwise meritorious. Via the SCRIMSHAW function, COMPASS assists authors in drafting and editing papers that are based on quality-control and journal author guidelines and hence more likely to be accepted by journals. Functions of COMPASS are divisible into two major domains: “matching” and “dispatching.” The “matching” is fulfilled by three subfunctions: LONGITUDE, DECK WEDDING, and FATHOM.

  • Patent number: 11599462
Abstract: Methods and systems for memory cache entry replacement with pinned cache entries. Data structures are maintained for tracking a state of entries of a memory cache. A first data structure includes identifiers for pinned entries of a memory cache. A second data structure includes identifiers for unpinned entries of the memory cache that have been accessed once. A third data structure includes identifiers for unpinned entries of the memory cache that have been accessed more than once. A request to pin an entry is received. A determination is made that an identifier associated with the entry to pin is included in the second data structure or the third data structure. The identifier associated with the pinned entry is added to the first data structure. A detection is made at a time period that one or more entries of the memory cache are to be removed from the memory cache in accordance with an eviction protocol.

  • Patent number: 11601668
Abstract: A system and method are provided for inter-ceding video in which encoder and decoder memory requirements associated with storage of motion information related to collocated coding units is reduced. In some embodiments motion information related to only a single collocated coding unit may be stored at the encoder and decoder. In operation, if the encoder determines that motion information for a current coding unit should replace the currently stored motion information for the currently stored motion information for the collocated coding unit, then the encoder can replace the motion information at the encoder and transmit an indicator with the current coding unit to signal to the decoder that the motion information currently stored should be updated or replaced with the motion information associated with the current coding unit.

  • Patent number: 11597307
Abstract: An anti-vibration seat mount for tractors and other rough riding equipment with a paired base and top frame, the base frame separated from the top frame by a tapered spring set, with each spring interconnecting the base frame to the top frame. One tapered spring connects each distal end of the top frame to each distal end of the base frame, with the bottom of each tapered spring is mounted immovably to the base frame. A central pipe from the top frame is received into to the top of each tapered spring, downward through the center of each tapered spring. Vibration and bouncing motions of the work vehicle or tractor onto which the seat suspension is mounted are greatly reduced, with movements absorbed while self-centering back to an original position.

  • Patent number: 11601142
Abstract: The present technology relates to a data processing device and a data processing method which can ensure high communication quality in data transmission using LDPC codes. In group-wise interleaving, an LDPC code having a code length N of 64800 bits and a coding rate r of 11/15 is interleaved in a unit of a bit group of 360 bits. In group-wise deinterleaving, a sequence of bit groups of the LDPC code which has been subjected to the group-wise interleaving is returned to an original sequence. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a case in which data transmission is performed using LDPC codes.

  • Patent number: 11598539
Abstract: An air moving device has a housing with a primary flow path and a secondary flow path that extends from a secondary inlet of the housing and empties into an inner outlet adjacent the primary flow path. An impeller assembly rotates a blade to cause air to enter the housing and flow along the primary flow path. The flow of air through the primary flow path creates a low pressure region at the inner outlet of the secondary flow path, causing air to flow through the secondary flow path and mix with the air in the primary flow path. The mixture of air flows through a downstream portion of the primary flow path having an expanded width compared to an upstream portion of the primary flow path and exits the housing. Stator vanes may extend longitudinally within the housing to cause columnar air flow. The device may be used for destratification of thermal gradients of air within an enclosure, such as a home or warehouse.
