Abstract: A system for safely containing an infant on a mattress is described. The system includes a base that supports the mattress and panels that extend upwardly from the base and together form an enclosure around the mattress. A porthole is defined through at least one of the panels, where the porthole provides access into the enclosure. A porthole door has locked and unlocked positions and covers the porthole only in the locked position. A detection system detects when the porthole door is in the unlocked position. A lighting system is operatively coupled to the detection system and is configured to emit light when the porthole door is detected to be in the unlocked position. A power system provides energy to the lighting system for emitting the light.

Abstract: A cooling system includes a first cooler, a second cooler, a fan positioned to drive air through the first cooler and the second cooler, and a baffle system. The baffle system includes a baffle and an actuator. The baffle is positioned to facilitate selectively restricting airflow through at least a portion of the first cooler. The actuator is positioned to facilitate reconfiguring the baffle between (i) a first orientation where the baffle does not restrict the airflow through the portion of the first cooler and (ii) a second orientation where the baffle restricts the airflow through the portion of the first cooler, thereby diverting additional airflow through the second cooler.

A first drive system is connected to the first mechanical linkage and a second drive system is connected to the second mechanical linkage. The first drive system has a first driven gear and the second drive system has a second driven gear where the first driven gear and the second driven gear are coaxially located relative to one another. Abstract: A computerized enhanced discreet coupon (EDC) processing system processes shopper EDC(s) using a scanner and a processor. The scanner scans purchased items. The processor generates tickets corresponding to the purchased items, syntactically validates shopper EDC(s), semantically checks the EDC(s), and authenticates the EDC(s). If an EDC is authentic, then the processor compares the EDC against the ticket to determine if the EDC qualifies, and if so, then the EDC is redeemable. Authentication can be accomplished by, for example, comparing EDC rule(s) and/or rule identifier(s) against genuine rule/identifier sets. Genuine rule set includes a qualifying rule and a redemption rule.

A system includes a session border controller coupled to an end-user device, and a session initiation protocol stack. The session initiation protocol stack includes a processor, and non-transitory computer readable media comprising instructions executable by the processor to: receive, from the session border controller, a call invite request; provision, via the AI virtual assistant service, an AI virtual assistant instance in response to the call invite request; and join the AI virtual assistant instance to a call with the end-user device.

The controller includes one or more modems and is connected to an external network, at least one of the modems being a baseband modem and being configured to pass first data corresponding to the information. The controller is separated from the remote units by an intermediate network over which second data corresponding to the information is transmitted in frames between the controller and the remote units. The second data includes baseband data. A controller clock is synchronized with the reference timing source and provides timing information to the controller. A remote unit clock is synchronized with the controller clock and provides timing information to a remote unit, the controller and the remote unit being configured to transmit time stamp messages to synchronize the controller clock and the remote unit clock.

Abstract: Techniques in electronic systems, such as in systems comprising a CPU die and one or more external mixed-mode (analog) chips, may provide improvements advantages in one or more of system design, performance, cost, efficiency and programmability. In one embodiment, the CPU die comprises at least one microcontroller CPU and circuitry enabling the at least one CPU to have a full and transparent connectivity to an analog chip as if they are designed as a single chip microcontroller, while the interface design between the two is extremely efficient and with limited in number of wires, yet may provide improved performance without impact to functionality or the software model.

Abstract: Transmedia scheduling systems and methods are described in which a user interface is generated via a channel engine that includes first and second channels. The channels are based on one or more channel templates stored in a channel database, and are preferably populated with concurrent transmedia stories. Each of the transmedia stories can be based on at least one transmedia object stored in a transmedia database and may be dynamically generated.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to throttling processing threads of a storage device. One or more input/output (I/O) workloads of a storage device can be monitored. One or more resources consumed by each thread of each storage device component to process each operation included in a workload can be analyzed. Based on the analysis, consumption of each resource consumed by each thread can be controlled.

Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to providing an optical display apparatus that can be used to make a light source display variable apparent sizes in response to light intensities emitted by the light source. In an illustrative example, the optical display apparatus may have a first baffle arranged on the top of a light source. The optical display apparatus may also include a second baffle, the first baffle may be nested in the second baffle such that a first intensity of a first beam of light guided within the first baffle is stronger than a second intensity of the second beam of light guided between the first baffle and the second baffle. By adjusting the light intensities, different display regions of a translucent diffuser may be lit, which may provide controllable apparent sizes of a light structure.

Abstract: A light projection system includes a light source configured to emit image light and an optical assembly configured to provide positive optical power to the image light and optically correct the image light. The optical assembly comprises a plurality of optical elements configured to correct differential distortion related to the image light across a field of view (FOV) within a threshold amount. The differential distortion is corrected based in part on asymmetry of the plurality of optical elements relative to an optical axis shared by the plurality of optical elements.

Abstract: A method (900) includes a gain current (IGAIN) to an anode of a gain-section diode (D0) disposed on a shared substrate of a tunable laser (310), delivering a modulation signal to an anode of an Electro-absorption section diode (D2) disposed on the shared substrate of the tunable laser, and receiving a burst mode signal (330) indicative of a burst-on state or a burst-off state. When the burst mode signal is indicative of the burst-off state, the method includes sinking a sink current (ISINK) away from the gain current at the anode of the gain-section diode. When the burst mode signal transitions to be indicative of the burst-on state from the burst-off state, the method includes ceasing the sinking of the sink current away from the gain current and delivering an overshoot current (IOVER) to the anode of the gain-section diode.

Abstract: A method for execution by a query processing system includes receiving a query request from a requesting entity. Query cost data is generated based on the query request by utilizing a query pricing scheme. Minimum query cost compliance data is generated for the query request based on determining whether the minimum query cost data complies with a minimum query cost rule. When the minimum query cost compliance data indicates the minimum query cost data complies with the minimum query cost rule a query result is generated based on facilitating execution of the query by executing at least one query function of the query against a database system, and the query result is transmitted to the requesting entity. When the minimum query cost compliance data indicates the query cost data does not comply with the minimum query cost rule, the query result is not transmitted to the requesting entity.

Abstract: Half tone offset may be utilized to mitigate signal distortion caused by DC bias within OFDM-based systems. In addition a cyclic prefix may be utilized within an OFDM-based system to mitigate inter-symbol-interference. Presented herein are techniques and methods to efficiently apply a cyclic prefix to an OFDM symbol with a half tone offset.
