Abstract: A waveguide illuminator includes adjacent linear and slab waveguide areas. An input light beam is guided in a linear waveguide, is split into a plurality of sub-beams to propagate in individual linear waveguides to a slab waveguide area and form an output light beam in the slab waveguide area. An array of out-couplers is disposed in the slab waveguide area. The array of out-couplers out-couples portions of the output light beam forms an array of out-coupled beam portions for illuminating a display panel. Locations of the array of out-couplers are coordinated with locations of individual pixels of the display panel, thereby improving efficiency of light utilization by the display panel.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for contactless vehicle codes are presented. A method may include receiving, by a vehicle, a first request to present a code associated with an activity. The method may include sending a second request to a device, the second request indicative of the activity. The method may include receiving, from the device, the code, wherein the code includes information associated with the activity. The method may include presenting, using a display of the vehicle, the code.

Abstract: A system for improved cable management is disclosed in several example embodiments. The disclosed embodiments describe example structures for supporting cables, for example telecommunications and fiber optic cables, within a cable storage cabinet. The disclosed embodiments also describe a door for a cable storage cabinet. The example door includes a hinge control and handle system which allows the door to be opened along either side to therefore allow the door to be opened either way from a single handle. The disclosed embodiments also describes an indicator system which informs a user when the door for the cable storage cabinet is in either a closed position or an open position. Each of these embodiments improves the utility and safety of cable management, particularly within cable storage cabinets.

Abstract: A v-clamp provides an enhanced axial load to tubular body end flanges in order to establish a fluid-tight joint therebetween. The v-clamp, according to an example, has a v-angle that varies in value over a section or more of a band of the v-clamp. The varying v-angle has been shown to effect an axial load that is more evenly and uniformly applied around a circumference of the v-clamp and to the underlying tubular body end flanges. Furthermore, in an example, the tubular body end flanges have a partially spherical shape.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described which provide a camera mount system. The camera mount system can include, for example, a first optical element and a second optical element. Incoming light from a scope on a weapon, for example, is partially transmitted and partially reflected by the first optical element. The partially transmitted light passes through an eyepiece to a viewer (e.g., a shooter). The partially reflected light is reflected by the second optical element and is recorded by a recording device (e.g., a camera, a video recorder, an image sensor, etc.). The viewer has direct access to the scope optics, a spotting scope, or binoculars, for example, and the camera and the viewer have access to the same view.

Abstract: A method for creating a customized and redacted credit report may include transmitting a user request to generate a customized credit report, receiving a copy of a stored credit report, analyzing the copy of the stored credit report, displaying one or more information fields and one or more selectable user interface elements, transmitting a credit report redaction list, and receiving a customized credit report. A user device for configuring a customized credit report may include a processor, a display in communication with the processor, and a non-transitory memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform processing including transmitting a user request to generate a customized credit report, displaying one or more information fields and one or more selectable user interface elements, transmitting a credit report redaction list, and receiving a shareable credit report link associated with a customized credit report.

Abstract: Provided is a container having a container body, a bail attached to the container body, and a flexible band attached to a rear of the container body. The flexible band has a first end attached to the rear of the container proximate a top of the rear and a second end attached to the rear of the container body proximate a bottom of the rear. The flexible band is movable between a first position spaced a first distance from the rear, a second position spaced a second distance from the rear less than the first distance to allow the container body and the bail to be grasped at the rear without interference by the flexible band, and a third position spaced a third distance from the rear greater than the first distance to provide space for a user's hand between the rear of the container body and the flexible band.

Abstract: An organic slurry for use in wood-based composites is described herein. In one aspect, the organic slurry may include water, a lignin material insoluble in the water, such as dewatered kraft lignin, and a defoamer. During manufacturing, the water, lignin material and defoamer may be combined and mixed together in a vessel to produce the organic slurry. In one aspect, the defoamer may include a water-based defoamer, a silicone-based defoamer, a silicone-free defoamer, an oil-based defoamer, a polymer-based defoamer, or mixtures thereof. The organic slurry may have a pH less than neutral.

Abstract: A crane mat is disclosed having a plurality of panels of lumber positioned in alternating transverse directions with respect to one another, where the top and bottom panels are oriented parallel to the direction of vehicular traffic. The top and bottom panels may include a plurality of spaced apart grooves extending longitudinally from a first longitudinal end of the crane mat to a second longitudinal end of the crane mat for enhancing traction of a vehicle when traversing across the crane mat by transporting rain or moisture off the mat, or for receiving mud or other debris. The crane mat may include a plurality of edge protectors positioned on respective sides of the crane mat to protect the crane mat from handling damage. In various embodiments, the crane mat may be manufactured using either softwood, hardwood, or any combination of softwood and hardwood.

Abstract: A multi-fitting rotatable fluid connection apparatus comprising a fluid entry fitting and first and second fluid discharge fittings. The fluid entry fitting comprises a first end connector threaded for attachment to a fluid source, and first and second distribution connectors. The first fluid discharge fitting has a first intake connector which receives fluid from the first distribution connector. A first rotation member is coupled between the first intake connector and the first distribution connector such that the first fluid discharge fitting is rotatable about a first axis of rotation. The second fluid discharge fitting has a second intake connector which receives fluid from the second distribution connector. A second rotation member is coupled between the second intake connector and the second distribution connector such that the second fluid discharge fitting is rotatable about a second axis of rotation.

Abstract: In-pipe inserts for piping systems and related methods are described herein. An example filter insert includes an end plate having a set of openings, a set of filter tubes extending from a first side of the end plate, and a set of support rods extending through respective ones of the channels of the filter tubes. The support rods extend through the openings in the end plate. The filter insert also includes a first retainer disposed on a second side of the end plate. The first retainer is coupled to the support rods at or near first ends of the support rods. The filter insert further includes a second retainer coupled to the support rods at or near second ends of the support rods opposite the first ends such that the filter tubes are clamped between the end plate and the second retainer.

Abstract: A system is described that can include a first database, a simulator, and a second database. The first database can store data indicating operation of at least one module within a computing device of an autonomous vehicle. The simulator can receive the stored data from the first database. The simulator can generate, based on the received data, a simulation of the operation of the at least one module. The simulator can identify at least one portion of the simulation that indicates a deviation between the collected data and the simulated operation of the autonomous vehicle. The simulator can analyze the at least one portion of the simulation to generate metrics for the at least one portion of the simulation. The metrics can be used to avoid another deviation between the collected data and the simulated operation of the autonomous vehicle. The second database can store the metrics.

Abstract: A utility cart includes a stored energy device that can be in the form of a Lithium Ion battery pack. The battery pack can include a main power output useful to drive high voltage components as well as the electric motor for motive power. The battery pack can also include one or more auxiliary outputs useful to provide auxiliary power to various other components. The auxiliary outputs can be either low and/or high voltage outputs. An auxiliary DC/DC output can be used to step down high voltage of the Lithium ion battery pack to lower voltages. A motor controller supply can also be provided as an auxiliary output to provide some power to a motor controller.

Abstract: A substrate transport apparatus having a drive section and at least one articulated multi-link arm having an upper arm joined at one end to the drive section and a forearm joined to the upper arm. The upper arm being a substantially rigid unarticulated link. Dual end effector links that are separate and distinct from each other are each rotatably and separately joined to a common end of the forearm about a common axis of rotation. Each end effector link has at least one holding station. The holding station of at least one end effector link includes one holding station at opposite ends of the at least one end effector link that is substantially rigid and unarticulated between the opposite ends, and the holding station at one of the opposite ends is substantially coplanar with the holding station of each other end effector link.

Abstract: A method of promoting hemostasis in the mouth or oral cavity utilizes a non-absorbent, low surface energy and highly conformable non-disruptive hemostasis material. Traditional wound packing material is highly absorbent and has large open surfaces that allow clot forming materials, such as the platelet plug to adhere to the packing material and whereupon removal, the clot is disrupted. A non-disruptive highly conformable hemostasis material does not have large open pores and therefore does not adhere to forming clots. A non-disruptive hemostasis material may consist of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene that has a pore size of no more than about 10 microns. A non-disruptive hemostasis material may comprise a thin film of material over a portion of the outside surface that is non-absorbent and thin to allow for conforming into an oral cavity, such as from a tooth extraction. A thin film may cover porous material, such as a foam, that may be elastomeric.

Abstract: A display assistant device comprises a display, a camera, a speaker, microphones, a processor and memory. The memory stores programs comprising instructions that, when executed by the processor, enable a plurality of modes of the display assistant device. The modes include a monitoring mode and an assistant mode. In the monitoring mode, the device is configured to perform a remote monitoring function in which first video captured by the camera is streamed to a remote server system for monitoring uses. The monitoring uses include transmission of the first video to remote client devices authorized to access the first video. In the assistant mode, the device is configured to perform a second plurality of functions that excludes the monitoring function and includes a video communication function in which second video captured by the camera is transmitted to second devices participating in a video communication with a first user of the device.

Abstract: Certain exemplary embodiments relate to entertainment systems that interact with users to provide access to media appropriate to and/or customized for a particular user using the entertainment system, the location at which the entertainment system is being accessed, and/or a predefined event. For example, in certain exemplary embodiments, an entertainment system in a location is configured to provide jukebox-related and entertainment system mediated services that are accessible from within and from the outside of the location, and provide (1) attract or flight media operations, (2) browsing services, and/or (3) search screens appropriate to and/or customized for a particular user using the entertainment system, the location at which the entertainment system is being accessed, and/or a predefined event. Such screens may be provided with a three-dimensional look-and-feel in certain exemplary embodiments.
