  • Patent number: 11567323
Abstract: A partial electronic see-through HMD includes one or more subassemblies that occlude a central portion of a user's field of view (the peripheral portions of the user's field of view may remain unobstructed). Each subassembly includes an outward facing camera, a display, and an eyepiece. Images of the occluded central zone are captured by the camera and projected to the user via the display and eyepiece. The projected images can also include electronic information, such as AR image overlays. The peripheral zones are not occluded and remain directly viewable by the user. Thus, the projected images complete (or partially complete) the user's FOV of the external environment between the peripheral zones and may provide additional electronic information to the user.

  • Patent number: 11569576
Abstract: An apparatus and method for wavelength conversion of a signal, for example, a dual-polarization signal, is disclosed. The apparatus implements a single-loop counter-propagating wavelength conversion scheme which provides both up-conversion and down-conversion of the signal within the same loop. Nonlinear wavelength conversion devices in the loop provide both up-conversion and down-conversion of the polarization components of the signal within the loop depending on whether the polarization component travels through the nonlinear conversion device in a clockwise or a counter-clockwise direction. The wavelength-converted signal is available to be extracted from the wavelength-conversion loop. An all-optical wavelength-division multiplexing transponder based on the wavelength-conversion scheme is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11568414
Abstract: In certain embodiments, an online transaction is verified based on merchant-independent user geolocation. A geolocation of a user associated with the online transaction is obtained from a mobile device of the user by a transaction verifying entity separate and independent from a merchant entity with which the online transaction is initiated. A server associated with the transaction verifying entity determines a proximity of the geolocation of the user to a delivery address for verifying the online transaction. The server generates a verification message including an approval message based on the proximity of the geolocation to the delivery address being within a specified threshold. The server generates a verification message including a rejection message based on the proximity of the geolocation to a delivery address exceeding the specified threshold. The server sends the verification message to another server associated with the merchant entity to carry out the online transaction accordingly.

  • Patent number: 11569048
Abstract: An illumination system and method are disclosed for maintaining a consistent change in illumination value among a group of illumination devices whenever a change command is manually sent from a keypad to those illumination devices. The consistent change results from maintaining a common start illumination value among not only the group, but also the keypad which controls the group. From the start illumination value, the keypad can then compute an end illumination value depending upon the amount of time that an increase or decrease in illumination value button is depressed and held.

  • Patent number: 11566886
Abstract: The source light having a range of optical wavelengths is split into sample light and reference light. The sample light is delivered into a sample, such that the sample light is scattered by the sample, resulting in signal light that exits the sample. The signal light and the reference light are combined into an interference light pattern having optical modes having oscillation frequency components respectively corresponding to optical pathlengths extending through the sample. Different sets of the optical modes of the interference light pattern are respectively detected, and high-bandwidth analog signals representative of the optical modes of the interference light pattern are output. The high-bandwidth analog signals are parallel processed, and mid-bandwidth digital signals are output. The mid-bandwidth digital signals are processed over an i number of iterations, and a plurality of low-bandwidth digital signals are output on the ith iteration.
