Abstract: A method for repairing in-ground tunnel structures including the steps of: a) cleaning the structure to be lined; b) preparing a sheet of composite liner onto a roller; c) applying resin to the wall of the tunnel; d) dispensing said sheet into said resin using said roller and e) bedding the liner composite into the applied resin. The process can then be repeated along the length of the tunnel in a sheet by sheet fashion.
Abstract: A method and system are provided to support a decentralized distributed ledger in which transactions are recorded by parties to the transactions without the use of a blockchain. A distributed ledger system provides a protocol framework that supports the development of protocol flows. A protocol flow is computer code that controls the performance of a transaction by the party or parties to the transaction. Protocol flows can be developed for different types of transactions. The distributed ledger system allows transactions to be proposed, accepted, and notarized by a notary and stored without the use of a blockchain ledger. The distributed ledger system can avoid the expense of the computational and storage resources needed to redundantly verify a transaction and store evidence on the many nodes of a blockchain distributed ledger.

A connector is provided at the proximal end and configured for connecting to a fluid inlet line. A connector subassembly is provided at the distal end and configured for connecting to a fluid outlet line. A compressible check valve is disposed within the fluid channel, such that the compressible check valve is adjustable to control a cracking pressure at which the compressible check valve closes.
Abstract: An assembly used in osteosynthesis comprising a delivery instrument in combination with an implant wherein the delivery instrument releasably holds the implant in a first configuration prior to attachment of the implant to bone. The delivery instrument allows the implant to be affixed to bone before the implant is released from the instrument. And the instrument may comprise guide means for drills, depth gauges, screws, pins, pegs, blades and or drivers which are used or implanted when the implant is releasably attached to the instrument. After the implant is affixed to bone and released from the delivery instrument, the implant assumes at least a second configuration which provides compression and or distraction and or control of spatial orientation.

Abstract: A wireless device determines a change in a signal quality measurement of a wireless network. In response to the determining, a first message for changing one or more media for a video call in the wireless network is transmitted from the wireless device to a video application function (AF). A policy and charging rules function (PCRF) receives from the video AF, a DIAMETER AA-request (AAR) command for modifying a quality of service (QoS) of the video call. The PCRF transmits to a policy and charging enforcement function (PCEF), a second message comprising an updated QoS, wherein the updated QoS comprises QoS data bearer modification information based on the change in the signal quality measurement of the wireless network. The PCEF implements the updated QoS for the video call.
Abstract: A dilution device may include a first component and a second component. The first component may define a groove including an inlet portion and an outlet portion. The second component may define an inlet in fluid communication with the inlet portion of the first component and an outlet in fluid communication with the outlet portion of the first component. Relative rotation between the first component and the second component may cause relative movement between the outlet and the outlet portion that changes the effective length of the groove fluidly coupling the inlet and the outlet of the second component. The cross-sectional area of the groove may vary along a length of the groove to provide different flow characteristics depending on the effective length of the groove.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for operating a variable displacement engine that includes a knock control system. Engine background noise levels for detecting engine knock may be the basis for determining whether or not the engine is operating in a cylinder deactivation mode. Further, select variable engine displacement modes may be avoided so that engine background noise level changes may be reduced to improve engine knock detection.

Abstract: Buffers in a buffer pool refer to memory locations either in local memory or in non-volatile memory used as persistent storage. The local memory and non-volatile memory have access latencies of the same order of magnitude, or a small multiple of each other. A buffer pool management system has operations to manage transitions between these states. Buffer cache copies can be avoided for read-only data, which can improve ramp-up times in database systems, increase cache capacity and improve performance of write operations. Power consumption can be reduced by avoiding memory copies and decreasing overprovisioning. These advantages can be obtained while making minimal, if any, changes to computer programs implementing the database server, particularly subsystems such as write-ahead logging and page replacement algorithms.
Abstract: A host device is configured to communicate over a network with a storage system. The host device comprises a multi-path input-output (MPIO) driver configured to control delivery of input-output (IO) operations from the host device to the storage system over selected ones of a plurality of paths through the network. The MPIO driver is further configured to create a disk device on the host device, wherein the disk device corresponds to a subset of the plurality of paths to the storage system, and to execute a script enabling a boot image create operation to run on the created disk device.
Abstract: A container having a base and a lid is provided. The lid may be rotatable about a hinge from a closed configuration to an open configuration and may be secured, via one or more latching assemblies. The latching assembly may comprise a latch body, a locking member, a biasing member, and an activating member. Additional features of the container may include handles and strength increasing features. The base and lid may also feature attachment points for various accessories.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for separating, directing, and/or extracting a target molecule from a mix of molecules and may comprise a plurality of non-magnetic beads suspended in a ferro fluid, where the non-magnetic beads may be functionalized with at least one predetermined first molecule configured to bind with a target particle. A microfluidic device may be included which may comprise at least one microfluidic channel, the device configured to dynamically and/or statically receive an amount of the mix. Magnetic field means may be included and may be configured to apply a magnetic field to at least a portion of the at least one channel to exert an indirect force on the non-magnetic heads in the ferro fluid mix, and separate the non-magnetic beads from the ferrofluid. The beads may then be directed to at least one receptor region.
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for registering and monitoring a status of a plurality of units of an in-flight entertainment system disposed within a vehicle. Using a portable computing device, each of the units can be registered with the server by reading a unique machine-readable identifier disposed on or near each unit. The identifier could be a barcode or other indicia or a NFC tag, for example. Location information about each unit can also be obtained via manual input or by reading a second identifier.

The end cap assemblies are provided on either end of the tube. Each end cap assembly includes a socket cap, a plug having a plug body and at least one connector, and an end cap body, one end of which engages one of the ends of the hollow tube. A cam locking mount that is positioned within the plug body and on the opposite side has projections to be positioned in the bore of the end cap body. A rotation cam is seated in the cam locking mount and provides for controlled rotation of the LED tube relative to the end caps. Methods of installing the LED light tubes in new installations and retrofit installations and for use in sign assemblies are also described.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control information indicating reserved resources, wherein the control information indicates a time pattern of the reserved resources and indicates frequency resources of a cell bandwidth of the reserved resources, wherein the indicated frequency resources are a portion of the cell bandwidth. The UE may further receive, from a base station, physical downlink shared channel transmissions in resources of the cell bandwidth outside of the reserved resources.
Abstract: A system enables metadata to be gathered about a data store beginning from the creation and generation of the data store, through subsequent use of the data store. This metadata can include keywords related to the data store and data appearing within the data store. Thus, keywords and other metadata can be generated without owner/creator intervention, with enough semantic meaning to make a discovery process associated with the data store much easier and efficient. Usage of or communication regarding a data store are monitored and keywords are extracted from the usage or communication. The keywords are then written to otherwise associated with metadata of the data store. During searching, keywords in the metadata are made available to be used to attempt to match query terms entered by a searcher.
