Abstract: A system for restricting power to a load to prevent engaging a circuit protection device for an electric aircraft includes an energy source. The energy source is communicatively coupled to a load, wherein the load includes a portion of a propulsion system. The system includes sensors configured to sense an electrical parameter. The system includes an aircraft controller communicatively connected to the energy source, wherein the aircraft controller is configured to receive an electrical parameter, compare the electrical parameter to a current allocation threshold, detect that the electrical parameter has reached a current allocation threshold, generate a current allocation threshold notification as a function of the detection, wherein the current allocation threshold notification indicates that the electrical parameter has reached the current allocation threshold.

Abstract: A method including tracking impression response data in response to online impressions of content elements displayed to users of a website. The impression response data can include (i) first responses by the users in one or more physical stores in response to the online impressions, and (ii) second responses by the users in the website in response to the online impressions. The method also can include receiving a request from a user of the users to display a webpage of the website. The method additionally can include generating the webpage to include a content element selected from among the content elements based on a classification of the user and the impression response data for the content elements. Other embodiments of related systems and methods are described.

Abstract: A memory array is provided that includes a plurality of word lines and a plurality of bit lines, and a plurality of memory cells each including a corresponding magnetic memory element coupled in series with a corresponding selector element. Each memory cell is coupled between one of the word lines and one of the bit lines. Each memory cell has a half-pitch F, and comprises an area between 2F2 and 4F2.

Abstract: A system and method for utilizing a plain-old-telephone (“POT”) to interface with a digital assistant system. The POT is linked to an interface adapted to selectively provide a bidirectional audio connection to a standard telephone communication network, or to provide an interface to a digital assistant system in response to user voice commands. The functionality of the POT digital assistant interface being dependent upon the user input—DTMF tone/pulse dialing signals as opposed to voice commands spoken into the POT mouthpiece. Audio cues and prompts, as well as audio responses from the digital assistant system are provided to the user via the POT earpiece. Digital assistant functionality is provided via a simple and familiar interface, without impeding any standard voice telephony functionality (making/receiving calls, call waiting, caller ID, etc.

The devices can include a pump portion that includes an impeller and a housing around the impeller, as well as a fluid lumen. The impeller can be activated to cause rotation of the impeller and thereby move fluid within the fluid lumen.

Abstract: A portable fume sensing device. The portable fume sensing device includes a user-proximal end adapted to be held by a user of the portable fume sensing device, a sensing end connected to the user-proximal end by a stem and disposed distally from the user, and a hydrocarbon fume sensor located at the sensing end. A fan is disposed at the sensing end in a user-distal direction from the fume sensor, the fan impelling air towards the fume sensor from a location located in a user-distal direction from the fan. The longitudinal axis of the stem is oriented substantially diagonally with respect to the plane of the fan. An enclosure containing visual indicators, audible indicators, and user operable controls is located at the user-proximal end, the enclosure being coupled to a grip portion that is adapted to be held by a user.

Abstract: There is provided a sound-absorbing material for a vehicle, capable of stably yielding desired sound absorption performance while reducing weight of the sound-absorbing material for a vehicle. The sound-absorbing material for a vehicle of the present invention has a multilayer structure, including: a core layer in which tubular cells are arranged in a plurality of rows; and an airflow-blocking resin film layer adhered to one surface of the core layer. The relationship between the Young's modulus E (MPa) of the airflow-blocking resin film layer 40 and the surface density M (g/m2) of the layer structure on the first airflow-blocking resin film layer 40 side with respect to the core layer 10 is 0.5<E/M<21.

Abstract: An antenna system including an antenna adjustable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. The antenna includes a reflector having an annular array of spaced-apart ribs coupled to a hub, whereby the ribs can be adjustable between a collapsed configuration and an extended configuration in which the ribs outwardly extend from the hub. When the ribs dispose in the collapsed configuration, the antenna can be disposable in the stowed configuration; and when the antenna disposes in the deployed configuration, (i) the ribs can dispose in the extended configuration, and (ii) the reflector can be directionally adjustable, such as in both elevation and azimuth.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein generally related to a system and method of authenticating a user with a third party server. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed herein. A computing system receives, from a remote client device of the user, a token. The token includes personal identification information and a digitized file of a biometric captured by a biometric scanner. The computing system identifies via the personal identification information that the user has a user account. The computing system queries a database with the personal identification information and the digitized file to determine whether the biometric matches a stored biometric in the user account. Upon determining that the biometric matches the stored biometric, the computing system generates a message to be transmitted to the third party server that authenticates the user. The computing system transmits the message to the third party server.

Abstract: There is included a method and apparatus comprising computer code configured to cause a processor or processors to perform obtaining media content from a first content server, determining whether a manifest indicates presence of a remote element, resolving the remote element, manipulating an updated remote element, and streaming at least one of the media content from the first content server and another media content from a second content server based on manipulating the updated remote element.

Abstract: An emergency alert system and method of operation are provided. The system includes an emergency alert pad configured to detect a pad activation by a service animal and communicate a pad alert in response. An emergency alert vest is worn by the service animal and is configured to detect a vest activation by a person in proximity and communicate a vest alert in response. A user mobile device is in communication with the emergency alert pad and vest and is configured to record a pre-recorded message. At least one affiliated mobile device is configured to receive the pre-recorded message during the pad activation and the vest activation. An emergency response center is in communication with the emergency alert pad and the emergency alert vest and is configured to receive at least one of the pad alert and the vest alert and provide emergency services accordingly.

Abstract: A cooking grill with a cooking chamber, pellet fuel combustion unit, and ash cleanout system for releasing retained ash from the combustion unit through an access door without requiring the disassembly of the upper components of the grill. The combustion unit has a first end with a first end opening, and a second end with a second end opening. The ash cleanout system includes an access door adjacent to the second end, operable by a user from a position external to the cooking chamber through a pull link, and capable of a first position wherein the second end opening is closed to generally retain ash within the pellet fuel combustion unit, and a second position wherein the second end opening is open to release the retained ash to a separate removal location.

Abstract: A new and useful thermochromic liquid crystal Indicator is disclosed that provides an indication of the temperature of the Object to which the Indicator is attached, and is an improvement over the existing art for at least the fact that the impact of ambient air circulating around the Indicator and circulating the Object is reduced by several means, such as i) the use of a novel cap or housing to isolate the liquid crystal Structure from ambient air and from touching or ii) using a novel liquid crystal formulation that reduces the reaction time of the thermochromic liquid crystal contained in the Indicator to changing temperatures conveyed by the ambient air. The new and useful liquid crystal Indicator can also employ either a template or a colored filter as a mask that narrows the colors and narrows the range of temperatures indicated by the Indicator.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a navigation system may include at least one self-describing fiducial with a communication element to communicate navigation state estimation aiding information comprising a geographic position of the self-describing fiducial with respect to one or more coordinate systems and a first navigating object to receive navigation information from an exterior system, receive navigation state estimation aiding information from the self-describing fiducial, and compare the navigation information received from the exterior system to the navigation state estimation aiding information to improve navigation parameters of the first navigating object.

Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor that may receive a request from a first device for an authentication token for access to a service, determine whether the first device is authorized to receive the authentication token for access to the service, and based on a determination that the first device is authorized to receive the authentication token for access to the service, generate a machine-readable code including the authentication token that a second device is to use for access to the service by the second device. The processor may also send the generated machine-readable code to the first device. The first device may display the machine-readable code and the second device may use a captured image of the machine-readable code to establish an authenticated session to the service on the second device.

Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe a convolutional neural network (CNN) architecture configured to evaluate conversational relevance of query-response pairs. A CNN model is provided that can include a first branch, a second branch, and multilayer perceptron (MLP) layers. The first branch includes convolutional layers with dynamic pooling to process a query. The second branch includes convolutional layers with dynamic pooling to process candidate responses for the query. The query and the candidate responses are processed in parallel using the CNN model. The MLP layers are configured to rank query-response pairs based on conversational relevance.

Abstract: Subscriber-managed nanoservices enable the states of multiple instances of an object to be contemporaneously updated without requiring an object-wide mutex or per-instance dedicated threads. A separate subscriber-managed nanoservice is implemented for each object instance. Each subscriber-managed nanoservice includes a first function that adds requests to update state of an object instance to a FIFO queue and provides a lock to only one subscriber thread at a time. Each subscriber-managed nanoservice includes a second function that combines queued requests and performs object instance state updates response to calls from the lock-holding subscriber thread. Each subscriber-managed nanoservice functions independently so multiple instances of an object can be contemporaneously updated. Further, it is not necessary to have a dedicated thread for management of each object instance because the subscriber threads call the functions.
