    Abstract: Despite the usefulness of foundation models, they often return irrelevant or inaccurate responses to domain-specific queries, which often include technical jargon and patterns that are unique to the domain. Training data for specialized domains is not readily accessible or frequently discussed in online forums, so foundation models lack understanding in specialized domains. Moreover, while the embedding models underlying foundation models may be finetuned using annotated datasets, generating these datasets for niche and specialized domains is an extremely arduous, time-consuming, and expensive task. These issues are overcome by implementing a generative pseudo labeling (GPL) approach to creating labeled data for finetuning embedding models to recognize semantic similarities for specialized domains. In this way, the accuracy and relevance of foundation-model responses to domain-specific queries is improved.

    Abstract: A media processing tool adds custom data to an elementary media bitstream or media container. The custom data indicates nominal range of samples of media content, but the meaning of the custom data is not defined in the codec format or media container format. For example, the custom data indicates the nominal range is full range or limited range. For playback, a media processing tool parses the custom data and determines an indication of media content type. A rendering engine performs color conversion operations whose logic changes based at least in part on the media content type. In this way, a codec format or media container format can in effect be extended to support full nominal range media content as well as limited nominal range media content, and hence preserve full or correct color fidelity, while maintaining backward compatibility and conformance with the codec format or media container format.

The gas storage chamber is arranged on the side of the gas permeable layer opposite the mold cavity, and a cavity which only communicates with the pores is arranged in the gas storage chamber. During injection molding, after raw materials enter the mold cavity, gas in the mold cavity is compressed by the raw materials and passes through the gas permeable layer to achieve exhaust, to facilitate filling of the raw materials. The compressed gas layer can be stored in the cavity, and then released after the injection is completed.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure can provide a system and method for calibrating extrinsic parameters of roadside sensors for autonomous driving. During operation, a portable light-detection-and-ranging (lidar) unit can be brought to a sensor-installation site comprising one or more to-be-calibrated roadside sensors, and the portable lidar unit can scan outer surfaces of the to-be-calibrated roadside sensors from different angles to generate a stream of frames. The system can align, spatially, the stream of frames based on a local reference coordinate system, superimpose the aligned frames, and segment a point cloud associated with a to-be-calibrated roadside sensor. The system can determine extrinsic parameters of the to-be-calibrated roadside sensor with respect to the local reference coordinate system based on the segmented point cloud and convert the extrinsic parameters from the local reference coordinate system to a road-based coordinate system.
