Abstract: Systems and methods provide load sharing for maintaining a stable operation of a group of electrical power generators in different load sharing scenarios. Over an interconnect bus, a controller of a gas-turbine generator (GTG) receives an indication of power generated in a set of GTGs (including the GTG) that are part of a power network, and an indication of a status change of the power network. Based on the status change and the power generated, the controller of the GTG determines whether a change in power generated by the power network is to occur and a new power level to be generated by the GTG.

Abstract: A method and system for identifying entangled photons includes generating a plurality of sets of four entangled photons, wherein one pair of photons of each set are time correlated, thereby indicating that another pair of four entangled photons are entangled. Quantum metadata comprising a time window corresponding to the generated plurality of sets of four entangled photons is collected. A coincidence of one pair of photons of each of the plurality of the sets of four entangled photons is determined. A state value of at least one photon of the other pair of each of the number of the sets of four entangled photons is determined. Ordered lists of coincidences are compared to ordered lists of state values to determine entangled state information. Time window are compared to times corresponding to the ordered lists. Error conditions are generated if conditions are met.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for managing data in a mobile computing device. A number of processor units determine a geographic location of a mobile computing device. The number of processor units predict a predicted data residency issue with meeting data residency requirements for data stored in the mobile computing device based on the geographic location of the mobile computing device and a set of movement patterns for the mobile computing device. The number of processor units identify a number of recipient devices that meet the data residency requirements for moving the data from the mobile computing device to the number of recipient devices in response to predicting the predicted data residency issue. The number of processor units move the data to the number of recipient devices from the mobile computing device in response to identifying the number of recipient devices.

Abstract: A photovoltaic system, and an assembly method, for maximizing electric power production during low solar elevation angles, including at least a bifacial photovoltaic module, disposed on a substantially vertical first plane, mounted on a structural support and placed substantially facing the east on one side and the west on the other side, and at least two specular or metallic reflectors facing each side of the bifacial photovoltaic module at an angle of 73°±20° relative to the vertical. The reflectors are shaped or structured so that a fraction of the sun-light incident along a direction that is parallel to the photovoltaic module is redirected towards the photovoltaic module, thus maximizing the electric power production for conditions of low solar elevation such as winter, early morning and late afternoon, and protecting the photovoltaic module from overheating during noon and summer.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a device receives a domain name system text record containing Internet reachability information for a plurality of application instances of a particular application identified by a given domain name. The device determines a primary Internet address for a primary application instance of the plurality of application instances and one or more secondary Internet addresses for one or more respective secondary application instances of the plurality of application instances based on the Internet reachability information. The device configures a path monitoring agent to perform path performance monitoring of a network path to the primary Internet address and perform path performance monitoring of one or more alternate network paths to the one or more secondary Internet addresses.

Abstract: A line-field parallel swept optical coherence tomography (OCT) system optimized for high-resolution ophthalmic imaging and capable of broad industrial applications. The system employs a gain chip using gallium-aluminum-arsenide (GaAlAs) for light amplification within a specific “water window” wavelength range, suitable for deep tissue imaging. The design incorporates a hermetically sealed packaging with an optional thermoelectric cooler and utilizes a single angled facet (SAF) with high reflectivity and antireflective coatings to enhance laser performance. The optical path includes a collimating lens, a cat's eye focusing lens, and a bandpass filter adjustable via an angle control actuator for dynamic wavelength tuning. The system features a rotator-derotator mechanism utilizing Dove prisms or k-mirror devices, for example, for precise radial scanning. This allows for quick, accurate imaging, making it ideal for capturing high-resolution images of the retina and other surfaces.
