Abstract: An adjustable comb for use on a clipper having one of a first lower blade of first size or a second lower blade of second size. One of these lower blades is an active blade when attached to the clipper. The adjustable comb includes an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the position of a retaining tab that engages a rear edge of the active blade. The adjustment mechanism is shifted in a first direction to position the retaining tab for the first lower blade, and is shifted in a second direction to position the retaining tab for the second lower blade.
Abstract: A blade assembly for a hair cutting apparatus is provided having a first blade having teeth extending along a first blade edge, a second blade positioned proximate the first blade and having teeth extending along a second blade edge parallel to the first blade edge and offset from the first blade edge by a blade gap, a yoke adapted to convert motion of a drive mechanism into reciprocation of the second blade with respect to the first blade, a spring having a spring base and at least one spring arm coupled to one of the yoke and second blade, the spring arm reciprocating with the second blade with respect to the first blade, wherein the spring arm applies a biasing force on the second blade toward the first blade to maintain the first and second blades in an operational condition when separated from the hair cutting apparatus.
Abstract: A hair grooming tool including a housing defining a cavity and including a grooming end, a vibratory motor assembly positioned within the cavity and configured to vibrate the housing, and a pet-engaging member coupled to the housing at the grooming end. Vibration of the housing enables constant motion of the hair tool and movement of the pet-engaging member as the pet-engaging member is pulled through hair to remove loose hair without cutting the hair.
Abstract: A trimmer and a method for manufacturing a drive for a hair trimmer. The method includes injection molding a transmission with a first shot and within a die, and injection molding a portion of one of the hinge and transmission over the other within the same die and at substantially the same mold temperature.
Abstract: A blade gapping tool for setting the gap of a hair clipper bladeset, the blade gapping tool including a base, a locking member, an adjustable boss and an adjuster.
Abstract: A comb attachment for use on a hair clipper includes tines that have rounded free ends positioned rearward of the cutting edge of a lower blade and forward of the cutting edge of the upper blade. Because of a radius of curvature of the rounded free ends, the free ends do not cross the cutting edge of the upper blade during attachment and removal of the comb attachment.
