A support unit includes a mounting plate formed with a set of third mounting members for engaging detachably and respectively one of the set of the first mounting members of the mounting wall of the main housing and the set of the second mounting members of the base plate, and a hinge device interconnecting the mounting plate and a supporting plate such that the supporting plate is pivotable relative to the mounting plate. A display unit is mounted detachably on the supporting plate of the support unit.

Abstract: An electronic device and a fastening apparatus in the electronic device. The device includes a main board, a shield and a supporting seat. The shield has a first opening and a second opening. The supporting seat includes a first engaging portion, a second engaging portion and a third engaging portion. The supporting seat connects with the shield by the first and second engaging portion and supports the main board by the third engaging portion. The first engaging portion connects to the first opening to prevent the supporting seat from moving along the X and Z axes and the second engaging portion connects to the second opening to prevent the supporting seat from moving along the Y axis. The X, Y, and Z axes are perpendicular to each other.

Abstract: A method of unbalanced disc detection in a slim type optical drive. In the method of the present invention, the slim type optical drive obtains a first tracking count per round of the disc at a first rotation speed to obtain a first runout. Then, the optical drive obtains a second tracking count per round of the disc at a second rotation speed to obtain a second runout. Finally, deviation of the disc is assessed according to the first runout and the second runout, so that the disc can be determined to be a gravitationally eccentric disc or not.

Abstract: An electronic device with a power generator has a rotational component, a power generator, a commutator, a battery charger, and a transmission component. The commutator is electrically coupled with the power generator. The battery charger is electrically coupled with the commutator for providing a charging power source. The transmission component is coupled between the rotational component and a shaft. When the rotational component rotates, the rotational component drives the transmission component so as to make the shaft rotate and make a coil generate an induced current. The induced current is transmitted into the commutator. An output of the commutator is used to charge the battery charger.

Abstract: A key switch includes a keycap, an upper cover, a lower cover, a connecting device and a heat dissipating device. The upper cover is disposed under the keycap. The lower cover is disposed under the upper cover. The connecting device is connected between the keycap and the upper cover for moveably connecting the keycap above the upper cover. The heat dissipating device includes a container and a piston. A sidewall of the container includes at least a first opening and at least a second opening formed between the upper cover and the lower cover for dissipating heat between the upper cover and the lower cover.

Abstract: The invention disclosed a mounting structure for supporting data storage device via sliding and securing mechanisms, wherein sliding rails and at least one securing hole are installed to each parallel side of the data storage device. The mounting structure comprises a case, one pair of sliding slots and at least one recess. The case serves as a container for the data storage device. One pair of sliding slots, formed at internal side of the case is arranged for the sliding rails of the data storage device to slide onto. The recess, formed at external side of the case, is next to an opening formed through the case thereof. When the data storage device slides in the case, the position of the opening is in line with the position of the securing hole thereof. As a result, the data storage device is mounted to the case through the opening and the securing hole with screws.

The cabinet further comprises a fixing hole and the storage element further comprises a respective fixing rod with an inverted-V top for mating with the fixing hole. The storage element is located inside the cabinet while the fixing rod engages with the fixing hole. The storage element further provides a panel. While the panel rotates to disengage the fixing rod from the fixing hole, the storage element can be separated from the cabinet.

Abstract: A screw-less fixing structure is provided for users to mount the add-on card onto a PC. The screw-less fixing structure comprises a support plate, a rotational pressing plate, a positioning device, and a spring wire. When a user attempts to replace an old add-on card with a new one, he needs only to release the screw-less fixing structure by grasping and pulling the handling portion of the spring wire, replace the old add in card with the new one, and finally tighten the screw-less fixing structure by grasping and pushing the spring wire to reach the tightening state. In the above procedures for replacing the add-on card, the user does not need any additional tool nor screw so that the present invention has the advantages of safe, fast, easy and convenient to use.

Abstract: A supporting module for a component set to mount on and for forming a foldable combination when the supporting module is coupled to a lower cover of a housing. The supporting module includes a securing frame and a pivoting member. The securing frame has two opposite faces. One of the two opposite faces is for the component set to mount on, and the other corresponds to another component set that is disposed on the lower cover of the housing. The pivoting member, located on the bottom of the securing frame, is for coupling the securing frame to the lower cover of the housing.
