  • Patent number: 12119830
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to enhancing PLL performance via gain calibration and duty cycle calibration. It may be desirable to perform loop gain and duty cycle calibration simultaneously. However, doing so may result in prohibitive complexity and/or area/power penalty. To enable loop gain calibration and duty cycle calibration simultaneously, the duty cycle error and the gain error may be detected in the time domain, which may enable duty cycle calibration and loop gain calibration circuitries to share a phase detector. Detecting the duty cycle error and the loop gain error in the time domain may be accomplished by implementing an analog or digital PLL system, wherein the loop gain of the PLL system is a function of the input phase offset time.

  • Patent number: 12120553
Abstract: Systems and methods provide for controlling the derivation of QoS rules in the UE by flexibly defining the scope of packet header fields over which packet filter derivation is performed. The scope of packet header fields for derivation of QoS rules may be provided by the network to the UE upon PDU Session establishment or modification. For PDU Session of IP type, the network indicates to the UE whether the scope of RQoS includes both the Source/Destination IP address pair and the Source/Destination Port numbers, or only the former. For PDU Session of Ethernet type, the network indicates to the UE whether the scope of RQoS includes both the Source/Destination MAC address pair and the IEEE 802.1Q tag, or only the former. The UE may indicate to the network whether it supports the flexible scope of packet filters for RQoS for a PDU session.

  • Publication number: 20240340711
Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for using low layer protocols for inter-cell mobility management in a 5G wireless communications system. A serving 5G node B (gNB) can configure reports that a user equipment (UE) transmits to the serving gNB to make handover decisions. The serving gNB can configure a group of Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states (e.g., a group of beams) that correspond a physical cell, and the report includes layer 3 measurements corresponding to a neighboring or serving cell's TCI state. The report can be conveyed using lower layer protocols. The report can include layer 1 measurements conveyed using a layer 1 protocol and the serving gNB can perform filtering to generate corresponding layer 3 measurement results. Based on the reports, the serving gNB can perform a handover and synchronization using lower layer protocols, from one TCI state to another.

  • Publication number: 20240338612
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for triggering an update to a machine-learning model upon detecting that a distribution of particular (e.g., recently collected) input data set is sufficiently different from a distribution training input data set used to train the model. The distributions may be determined to be sufficiently different when a classifier can identify to which distribution individual data elements belong (e.g., to at least a predetermined degree). An update to the machine-learning model can include morphing weights used by the model and/or retraining the model.

  • Patent number: 12113375
Abstract: A wireless power system may include power transmitting devices, power receiving devices, and power transmitting and receiving devices. Control circuitry in the power transmitting and receiving device may determine whether to operate in a power receiving mode or a power transmitting mode. The preferred mode for the power transmitting and receiving device may depend on the types of devices within the system, the state of charge of the batteries of the devices in the system, whether or not one or more devices in the system are connected to a wired power source, etc. Each power transmitting and receiving device may have a default mode. Upon detection of an adjacent device, the wireless power transmitting and receiving device enters a configuration phase in its default mode. Before or during a power transfer phase, the power transmitting and receiving device may swap roles from its default mode to another mode.
