  • Patent number: 12039086
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can restrict the use of another computing device in certain contexts. For example, a parent may wish to use the parent's computing device to restrict her children's use of the children's computing devices while the children are in school while the children should be participating in some other activity. For example, the parent's controller device may be enabled to remotely configure and control the usage of the satellite device(s) without needing to physically access the satellite device. The parent may implement limitations, permissions, or different policies that may govern, for example, the ability of the satellite device to communicate with other devices, execute various application functionalities, run any particular software, and manage its own settings.

  • Patent number: 12041606
Abstract: A method for Resource Allocation for Msg-3 Transmission on an unlicensed spectrum may include receiving a random access response (RAR) grant comprising a 12-bit frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA) field. If the resource allocation type is type-1 some embodiments may zero padding the FDRA field to interpreting the 12-bit FDRA and determine a starting position of allocated resources where a Scheduled PUSCH Transmission is transmitted in an unlicensed spectrum. Some embodiments may use a virtual Bandwidth Part (BWP) to obtain a starting position and a length of allocated resources.

  • Patent number: 12038964
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device may create a semantic mapping that includes identified features that appear in a particular percentage of assets in a subset of assets of a media library. Also, the computing device may analyze assets of the media library using the semantic mapping to generate semantic scores, which may be used to determine a first tier of assets from the media library that rate highest for semantic score out of all assets. The computing device may present at least one of the first tier assets prominently in a user interface when viewing assets of the media library.

  • Patent number: 12038520
Abstract: A method, UE and integrated circuit for reporting RSTD values to a network. A user equipment (UE) is configured to establish a connection to a network, the network comprising a first cell and a second cell. The UE receives a positioning reference signal from each of the first and second cells, determines a frequency band for each of the positioning reference signals, determines reference signal time difference (RSTD) values from measured time offsets between the positioning reference signals from the first and second cells, determines RSTD reporting values based on at least the RSTD values and the determined frequency bands and transmits an indication of the RSTD reporting values to the network.

  • Patent number: 12041609
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided for determining a number of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates and non-overlapped control channel elements (CCEs) for a UE configured with a plurality of component carriers having more than one subcarrier spacing (SCS). The plurality of component carriers are assigned to a number of cell groups. Each cell group includes a scheduling component carrier providing scheduling information for the other component carriers in the cell group. A reference slot window is selected based on an SCS of component carriers assigned to each cell group. And a number of PDCCH candidates and non-overlapped CCEs per the reference slot window are determined based on a number of and SCS of the component carriers in each cell group. Control information in a downlink radio frame is monitored by the UE based on the number of PDCCH candidates and non-overlapped CCEs.

  • Patent number: 12041394
Abstract: An imaging system including a front aperture, two or more refractive lens elements mounted in a lens barrel, and a photosensor. One or more of the components of the imaging system (e.g., the aperture, lenses, lens groups, and/or photosensor) are tilted with respect to each other and/or with respect to a center (or mechanical) axis of the imaging system to compensate for effects including but not limited to keystone distortion, resolution non-uniformity, and gradient blur that result from tilt of an object in the field of view of the camera with respect to the center axis of the camera.

  • Patent number: 12038659
Abstract: To minimize the width of a non-light-emitting border region around an opening in the active area, data lines may be stacked in the border region. Data line portions may be formed using three metal layers in three different planes within the border region. A metal layer that forms a positive power signal distribution path in the active area may serve as a data line portion in the border region. A metal layer may be added in the border region to serve as a data line portion in the border region. Data line signals may also be provided to pixels on both sides of an opening in the active area using supplemental data line paths. A supplemental data line path may be routed through the active area of the display to electrically connect data line segments on opposing sides of an opening within the display.

  • Patent number: 12040816
Abstract: A number of unit cells of a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) may be simultaneously activated to generate an analog signal according to a decoded digital signal. However, while many unit cells may be generally the same, there may be variations in the gains associated with each unit cell (e.g., based on the locations of the activated unit cells within a unit cell array) amounting to a gain gradient that may cause error in the analog output. As such, a fill order may be set or selected to counter such variation by activating a particular arrangement of unit cells, as opposed to simply the number of unit cells, for a given digital signal. By filling the unit cell array from different sides, spatially and/or temporally, the gain gradient associated with the unit cells may be balanced to reduce error and increase the linearity of the DAC.

  • Patent number: 12039672
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can present augmented reality (AR) labels in an AR video stream. For example, the computing device can obtain route information for a route requested by a user and can determine locations along the route for placing candidate AR labels. The computing device can determine the precise location of the computing device using camera depth information obtained in response to the user scanning the local real-world environment with a camera of the computing device. The computing device can select an AR label and/or label placement location for presentation in an AR video stream based on various criteria, including the distance between the candidate AR labels and the precise location of the computing device, priorities assigned to each candidate AR label, and/or whether a clear line of sight exists between the precise location of the computing device and the candidate AR label location.

  • Patent number: 12039645
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods that render perspective correct 2D graphics. In some implementations, a vector graphic including portions defined on a 2D canvas is obtained, and tiles of the 2D canvas is divided into tiles. In some implementations, a subset of the portions outside of a first tile of the tiles on the 2D canvas is identified. Then, the portions of the subset are projected onto an edge of the first tile. In some implementations, data for rendering the vector graphic is provided, the data comprising the projected portions of the subset of the portions outside the first tile.

  • Patent number: 12041338
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods for capturing a new media content item. In various implementations, a device includes a display, one or more processors and a non-transitory memory. In some implementations, a method includes determining a plot template for generating a media content item based on other media content items that are distributed temporally. In some implementations, the plot template is defined by a set of one or more conditional triggers for capturing the other media content items. In some implementations, the method includes determining that a condition associated with a first conditional trigger of the set of one or more conditional triggers is satisfied. In some implementations, the method includes in response to the condition associated with the first conditional trigger being satisfied, displaying, on the display, a notification to capture a new media content item for populating the plot template.
