Abstract: At an electronic device, detecting a compatible external device, where the external device is executing or has executed a first application. The detection may be made wirelessly. The electronic device also receives usage information regarding the first application from the external device. Display an affordance for user selection based on the received information. When the affordance is selected, launch a second application on the electronic device, the second application corresponding to the first application. In some examples, the second application is a different version of the first application. Launching the second application may additionally include bringing the second application to the same state as the first application. For example, if e-mail is being drafted on the external device, the electronic device may launch an e-mail editor showing the draft. In this way, a user can seamlessly transition from the use of one electronic device to another electronic device.

Abstract: An optical image system may include a monocentric lens optically coupled to a fiber bundle and an image sensor. The fiber bundle may provide a curved face towards the monocentric lens and a flat face towards an image sensor. The fiber bundle may transfer light passing through the monocentric lens to the image sensor. The optical image system may include an optical correction structure having a diffractive optical element (DOE), which may be located between the monocentric lens and the fiber bundle. The optical correction structure may increase light in-coupling between the monocentric lens and fiber bundle by reducing or eliminating light reflection at the curved face of the fiber bundle.
Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with wireless circuitry and control circuitry. The wireless circuitry may communicate with a wireless base station using a 5G New Radio (NR) communications protocol. The wireless circuitry may include a phased antenna array. The electronic device may perform antenna scaling operations in which the active antennas in the phased antenna array change over time to optimize wireless performance and power consumption. The electronic device may inform the base station when antenna scaling operations have occurred. This may allow the base station to compensate for power density discontinuities associated with the antenna scaling operations. If desired, the base station may break transmit and receive signal beam correspondence and the electronic device may use different antenna scaling settings for transmitting and receiving signals.

Abstract: Apparatus for optical sensing includes an illumination assembly, which is configured to direct a first array of beams of optical radiation toward different, respective areas in a target scene while modulating the beams with respective carrier waves having a common carrier frequency and different respective phase angles, which vary across the first array in a predefined spatial pattern. A detection assembly includes a second array of sensing elements, which are configured to output respective signals in response to the optical radiation that is incident on the sensing elements during one or more detection intervals, which are synchronized with the carrier frequency, and objective optics, which are configured to form an image of the target scene on the second array. Processing circuitry processes the signals output by the sensing elements in order to generate a depth map of the target scene.

Abstract: Various embodiments include a camera with a voice coil motor (VCM) actuator assembly to provide autofocus (AF) and/or optical image stabilization (OIS) movement. The VCM actuator assembly is configured to move an image sensor of the camera in three dimensions (e.g. X, Y, and Z) to provide the AF and/or OIS movements. The VCM actuator assembly is asymmetrical and includes an at least partially open side that allows an optical assembly of the camera to pass through the open side of the VCM actuator. In some embodiments, the optical assembly is part of a folded optics arrangement of the camera that includes one or more prisms/and or lenses.
Abstract: An eye tracking system for detecting position and movements of a user's eyes in a head-mounted display (HMD). The eye tracking system includes at least one eye tracking camera, an illumination source that emits infrared light towards the user's eyes, and diffraction gratings located at the eyepieces. The diffraction gratings redirect or reflect at least a portion of infrared light reflected off the user's eyes, while allowing visible light to pass. The cameras capture images of the user's eyes from the infrared light that is redirected or reflected by the diffraction gratings.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to allowing unauthenticated UEs to gain restricted access to an operator network to access network access subscription service. Once the unauthenticated UE successfully downloads a subscription profile for accessing the operator network, the unauthenticated UE can disconnect and can, thereafter, authenticate to the operator network using the subscription profile. Embodiments disclosed herein can perform one-way authentication to the operator network for obtaining a limited connectivity to reduce DoS attacks on the operator network. More specifically, these embodiments can support unauthenticated UEs to allow unauthenticated UEs to access the operator network for RLOS while minimizing DoS attack.
Abstract: Connectors that provide a large number of connections between a flexible circuit board and a printed circuit board, can easily and securely connect the flexible circuit board to the printed circuit board, are readily manufactured, and can be used in an assembly of an electronic device without excessive warpage.

Abstract: Some aspects include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for identifying a panel on user equipment (UE) for sounding reference signal (SRS) and/or physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) communications. This panel selection may be applicable to codebook as well as non-codebook based PUSCH transmission schemes. In some aspects, a base station may provide the UE with an indication of one or more SRS resources and/or sets of SRS resources. The UE may then identify a panel corresponding to the indicated SRS resources and use this panel for PUSCH communications. In some aspects, the UE may apply prioritization scheduling when the UE uses different panels for SRS and PUSCH communications. This prioritization scheduling may address switching delays, which may occur when the UE switches between panels.

Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for supporting the transmission of phase tracking reference signals (PTRS) based on an association between one or more PTRS ports and one or more demodulation reference signals (DMRS) ports for a user equipment (UE) having multiple uplink (UL) antenna elements. The UE can receive a downlink control information (DCI) including an association indication contained in an association field of the DCI to indicate an association between one or more PTRS ports and one or more DMRS ports. The association field can have a bit width determined based on an antenna architecture of the UE including the number of UL antenna elements. The UE can further determine a DMRS port associated with a PTRS port based on the association indication contained in the association field and the antenna architecture.
