Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying on an electronic device an identifier and an associated time, date, or time and date, wherein the identifier is a name of an entity that a user is scheduled to visit at the associated time, date, or time and date. Determining, at around the time, date, or time and date, using a location sensor, a location of the electronic device as an entity address. Associating the identifier with the entity address and storing the identifier and associated entity address. Upon receipt of the identifier as an input: retrieving, using the identifier, the entity address, displaying, at the touch-sensitive display, a selectable user interface element corresponding to the entity address, receiving a selection of the selectable user interface element corresponding to the entity address, and in response to receiving the selection, providing the entity address to an application on the electronic device for use.
Abstract: An electronic device display and a display cover layer may be coupled to a housing. The display may have an array of pixels that are configured to emit light. One or more light redirecting elements may be incorporated into the electronic device that redirect and thereby change the direction of light rays emitted from peripheral pixels in the display. The light redirecting elements may be used to enlarge the effective size of the display, to create images on sidewall surfaces of the display cover layer, and/or to create diffuse glowing areas around the periphery of the device. Light redirecting elements may be formed as integral portions of a display cover layer, as laminated optical films on a display cover layer, or as coating layers on a display cover layer. Afocal optical systems may be formed by placing first and second light redirecting elements on opposing first and second sides of a display cover layer.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first authentication request in response to a first triggering request from the UE to a mobility management node of a first Tracking Area (TA) in which the UE is located. In some embodiments, the UE may prepare and store an authentication response according to the first authentication request. In response to determining that the UE has moved from the first TA to a second TA, the UE may abort a sending of the authentication response, and may send the stored authentication response according to the first authentication request to the mobility management node of the second TA in response to the receipt of the second authentication request and in further response to a determination that a given parameter of each of the first and second authentication requests are the same.
Abstract: Configurations for a photonics assembly and the operation thereof are disclosed. The photonics assembly may include multiple photonics dies which may be arranged in an offset vertical stack. The photonics dies may emit light, and in some examples, an optical element may be a detector for monitoring properties such as the wavelength of the light. The photonics dies may be arranged in a stack as a package and the packages may be stacked or arranged side by side or both for space savings. The PIC may include combining and/or collimating optics to receive light from the photonics dies, a mirror to redirect the light, and an aperture structure. The aperture structure may include a region which is at least partially transparent such that light transmits through the transparent region of the aperture structure. The aperture structure may include an at least partially opaque region which may be used for directing and/or controlling the light launch position.

Abstract: A system may have lights. A light may include a first light source and a first reflector configured to provide lighting for a high-beam mode and for a low-beam mode. The light may include a second light source and a second reflector configured to provide lighting for a cornering light mode. The lighting provided by the first light source and the lighting provided by the second light source may pass through the same headlight lens aperture. A light blocking structure may provide a cutoff pattern that define the illumination pattern of the low-beam lighting and the cornering lighting. One or more additional light sources may be provided to boost the intensity of a hot spot for high-beam lighting.

Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE), Generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are disclosed herein. The UE may attempt to decode sidelink synchronization signals (SLSSs) received on component carriers (CCs) of a carrier aggregation. In one configuration, synchronization resources for SLSS transmissions may be aligned across the CCs at subframe boundaries in time, restricted to a portion of the CCs, and restricted to a same sub-frame. The UE may, for multiple CCs, determine a priority level for the CC based on indicators in the SLSSs received on the CC. The UE may select, from the CCs on which one or more SLSSs are decoded, the CC for which the determined priority level is highest. The UE may determine a reference timing for sidelink communication based on the one or more SLSSs received on the selected CC.
Abstract: The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods providing transmission power controls in support of expanding a network coverage. In an example, a device is configured to expand the network coverage and establishes multiple wireless links between a base station and a user equipment (UE). The device can be network-controlled, whereby such controls can include adjusting the transmission power used by the device to transmit on at least one of such wireless links.

Abstract: An approach is described for a method for a base station in a fifth generation (5G) wireless communication or a new radio (NR) system that includes the following steps. The method includes determining base initial seeds and a time parameter. The method further includes generating actual initial seeds based on the base initial seeds and the time parameter; generating a Pseudo-Noise (PN) sequence based on one of the actual initial seeds; and generating a remote interference management reference signal (RIM-RS) sequence based on the PN sequence. The method further includes transmitting the RIM-RS sequence to a remote base station.

Abstract: Techniques for changing a Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) state by a user equipment (UE) operating in a wireless communications system are provided. The UE receives a first message including a TCI state change command from a network and determines, based on the first message, whether a time offset/frequency offset (TO/FO) and a reception (Rx) beam for a new TCI state are known by the UE. Based on the determination, the UE calculates a time delay of the UE to be prepared to receive a reference signal with the new TCI state, generates a second message indicating the time delay of the UE for the new TCI state, and transmits the second message to the network.

Abstract: A system comprises an encoder configured to compress and encode data for a three-dimensional mesh. To compress the three-dimensional mesh, the encoder determines a compressed base mesh bit stream and a compressed motion bitstream. A network abstraction layer syntax defined for the compressed base mesh bit stream and the compressed motion bitstream, allows for various parameters to be defined and applied to both bit streams, such as timing information and faceIDs for faces of polygons of the mesh.

Abstract: A client device in a wireless network accesses a queue comprising Transmission Control Protocol Acknowledgement (TCP ACK) packets, at least some of which include packet descriptors, each with a flow identifier indicating a TCP flow associated with the packet, and a TCP ACK Generation Count. The device inspects a packet descriptor of a first TCP ACK packet, and identifies a first flow identifier and a first TCP ACK Generation Count. The device accesses entries in a data structure that each includes a first field and a second field respectively storing a flow identifier and a TCP ACK Generation Count. The device determines that a first entry in the data structure includes a flow identifier and a TCP ACK Generation Count matching the first flow identifier and the first TCP ACK Generation Count, respectively. In response to the determination, the device marks the first TCP ACK packet to be dropped.
