  • Patent number: 11907426
Abstract: An electronic device has a housing that forms an exterior surface of the electronic device. An array of actuators is coupled to the housing and is operable to move the housing in order to produce sound waves and/or haptic output via the exterior surface. In this way, less space is consumed by acoustic and haptic devices as compared to similar conventional devices, thereby allowing for thinner electronic devices and/or room for other components within the housing. The actuators may be operable to move different regions of the housing to produce sound waves and/or haptic output within different frequency ranges.

  • Patent number: 11907475
Abstract: In some examples, an electronic device can use machine learning techniques, such as convolutional neural networks, to estimate the distance between a stylus tip and a touch sensitive surface (e.g., stylus z-height). A subset of stylus data sensed at electrodes closest to the location of the stylus at the touch sensitive surface including data having multiple phases and frequencies can be provided to the machine learning algorithm. The estimated stylus z-height can be compared to one or more thresholds to determine whether or not the stylus is in contact with the touch sensitive surface. In some examples, the electronic device can use machine learning techniques to estimate the (x, y) position and/or tilt and/or azimuth angles of the stylus tip at the touch sensitive surface based on a subset of stylus data.

  • Patent number: 11909248
Abstract: A device in a wireless power system may be operable with a removable accessory such as a case. The device may transmit or receive wireless power through the case while the electronic device is coupled to the case. The case may have a folio shape with a front cover portion that covers the display of the electronic device. The case may have an embedded ferrimagnetic core that relays magnetic flux during wireless power transfer operations. Magnetic alignment structures in the case may position the ferrimagnetic core in the case in a high magnetic flux density region between the power transmitting device and the power receiving device. The ferrimagnetic core relays the magnetic flux between a transmitting coil in the power transmitting device and a receiving coil in the power receiving device. The ferrimagnetic core may be formed in a front portion, a sidewall, or a rear wall of a case.

  • Patent number: 11907043
Abstract: A processor can include various processing pipelines that perform different data processing operations, with different pipelines having dedicated logic and memory circuits. A power management circuit can determine when to supply power to various pipelines, including the logic and memory circuits of the various pipelines, depending on a current operating mode of the processor. When a memory circuit transitions to a lower power state such as a sleep state, data can be saved to a different memory circuit that is not transitioning to a lower power state, and when the memory circuit is powered up again, the data can be restored from the different memory circuit.

  • Publication number: 20240057085
Abstract: Described are processing time approaches to simultaneous multi-cell PUSCH/PDSCH scheduling with a single DCI (downlink control information) in a wireless communication system. In various approaches, simultaneously scheduling a plurality of physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) through a single DCI transmitted via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) occurs, wherein each of the plurality of PDSCHs is associated with a respective cell in a plurality of cells. The approaches further include transmitting data to or receiving data to a user equipment (UE) based on the scheduling information, wherein the plurality of PDSCHs occurs no earlier than a time offset following the PDCCH.

  • Publication number: 20240056816
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to allowing unauthenticated UEs to gain restricted access to an operator network to access network access subscription service. Once the unauthenticated UE successfully downloads a subscription profile for accessing the operator network, the unauthenticated UE can disconnect and can, thereafter, authenticate to the operator network using the subscription profile. Embodiments disclosed herein can perform one-way authentication to the operator network for obtaining a limited connectivity to reduce DoS attacks on the operator network. More specifically, these embodiments can support unauthenticated UEs to allow unauthenticated UEs to access the operator network for RLOS while minimizing DoS attack.

  • Publication number: 20240055987
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system with a voltage regulator, a current source circuit, and a control circuit. The voltage regulator has an output node and is configured to provide a supply voltage at the output node. The current source circuit is configured to draw current away from the voltage regulator's output node. And, the control circuit is configured to delay enabling the current source circuit in response to a voltage at the voltage regulator's output node being above a predetermined voltage level and the voltage regulator being disabled. With this arrangement, a voltage ripple at the voltage regulator's output node can be reduced in the presence of a bi-polar load current, which can be advantageous in voltage regulator designs (e.g., in DC-DC converters employing a Pulse Frequency Modulation scheme).

  • Publication number: 20240057071
Abstract: Some aspects include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for identifying a panel on user equipment (UE) for sounding reference signal (SRS) and/or physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) communications. This panel selection may be applicable to codebook as well as non-codebook based PUSCH transmission schemes. In some aspects, a base station may provide the UE with an indication of one or more SRS resources and/or sets of SRS resources. The UE may then identify a panel corresponding to the indicated SRS resources and use this panel for PUSCH communications. In some aspects, the UE may apply prioritization scheduling when the UE uses different panels for SRS and PUSCH communications. This prioritization scheduling may address switching delays, which may occur when the UE switches between panels.
