Abstract: The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods for security enhancement with respect to reselection of relay user equipment.
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for coordinating interactions between a user device and a plurality of accessory devices. In one example, a user device receives information identifying one or more accessory devices in communication with the user device. The user device may implement accessory interaction instances for each of the identified accessories. A first accessory interaction instance can be associated with a first accessory among the identified accessories and receive a first audio input from the first accessory corresponding to a user request. The first accessory interaction instance can process a portion of the received audio input and receive a first response from a server computer. The user device may then transmit the first response to the first accessory device.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform methods for triggering a change in beam configuration based on UL beam conditions. The UE may detect an unsafe UL beam condition for an UL beam based, at least in part, on an MPE level being exceeded by the UL beam. In response to the detection, remedial actions that to alleviate the unsafe UL beam condition may be performed. The remedial actions may prioritize UL beam quality over DL beam quality and may include reducing a transmit power of the UL beam based on an MPR, triggering an intra-panel antenna switch to a candidate UL beam that satisfies one or more conditions for intra-panel beam switching, triggering an inter-panel antenna switch to a candidate UL beam that satisfies one or more conditions for intra-panel beam switching, and/or signaling a beam failure to a network serving the UE.

The metallic housing can further define a pocket within the metallic housing separated from the interior. The pocket can have a window to an exterior of the metallic housing to facilitate wireless power transfer. An electronic device can include a non-metallic housing defining an interior that contains one or more systems of the electronic device and a wireless power transfer module that further includes a metallic structure defining a receptacle separated from the interior housing. The receptacle can have at least one open side to facilitate wireless power transfer. In either case, the wireless power transfer coil can be disposed at least partially or completely within the pocket or receptacle.

Abstract: Devices and methods are provided to overdrive or underdrive a display panel to account for display pixel hysteresis due to several frames of pixel history. An electronic device may include an electronic display and processing circuitry. The electronic display includes a number of display pixels. The processing circuitry may generate image data for the display pixels. The processing circuitry may receive a current frame value of the image data targeted for a first display pixel and, based at least in part on the current frame value and a pixel history of the first display pixel—may indicate a gray level for a number of previous frames—generate a compensated value by which to drive the first pixel to overcome pixel hysteresis to reach the desired luminance at an initial response.

Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods for generating a response to a user focus indicator value based on a user comprehension value characterizing a user's association with the user focus indicator value. In some implementations, a method includes obtaining a user focus indicator value. A sequence of user voice inputs relating to the user focus indicator value is obtained. A user comprehension value characterizing an assessment of a user relative to the user focus indicator value is determined based on the user voice inputs. Based on a plurality of media content items that provide information about the user focus indicator value, a response to the user focus indicator value is synthesized that satisfies the user comprehension value. The response is outputted.

Abstract: This application describes systems and processes for beam selection performance refinement in static conditions of wireless devices (e.g., user equipment UE). A data processing system of the UE is configured to perform a beam scan for testing multiple high gain candidate beams on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and link adaptation (LA) channel state information reference signal (LA-CSI-RS) while the UE is not moving and the data processing system of the UE determines that the channel is stable. The data processing system is configured to refine a given beam choice based on a determined capacity of the beams (e.g., from PDSCH signaling and/or LA-CSI-RS signals) to optimize data throughput.

Abstract: This application describes methods and apparatus to allocate uplink (UL) power dynamically across multiple parallel radio frequency links for wireless devices. The wireless device sets an initial maximum transmit power level (MTPL) for each UL radio link of multiple radio links used for UL traffic based on a duty cycle prediction for the respective UL radio link. The wireless device adjusts the initial MTPL for each UL radio link based on a predicted data throughput for the UL radio link relative to a total predicted data throughput for all UL radio links. The adjusted MTPL for each UL radio link can be also reduced when the UL radio link uses UL multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmission via multiple antenna ports, e.g., by apportioning the adjusted MTPL among the multiple antenna ports of the UL radio link equally.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for performing fast beam switching in a high-frequency wireless communication environment. Higher frequencies reduce transmission wavelength, which allows for an increased number of antennas and an increased number of beams. Therefore, beams become narrower and are more prone to failure. The UE must be capable of quickly identifying the beam failure and switching to a new beam. Therefore, the UE is capable of receiving multiple beams from the base station and configures both for testing and immediate use. In some cases, the UE can receive multiple beams for testing and assumes a default beam while feeding back to the base station a preferred beam. To support the larger number of available beams, MAC-CE and DCI are modified to identify this increased number of states. Alternatively, two MAC-CEs are sent, each containing a different group of states, and the DCI identifies both the group and the selected state.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for controlling uplink transmissions including cancelling previously scheduled transmissions are described. A described technique includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a configuration information that provides a search space set configuration associated with a control resource set (CORESET) to monitor for an uplink cancellation indication; receiving, by the UE, scheduling information that schedules one or more uplink transmissions; monitoring, by the UE via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), for the uplink cancellation indication based on the configuration information; receiving, by the UE via the PDCCH, a downlink control information (DCI) message that comprises the uplink cancellation indication; and cancelling, by the UE, at least part of the one or more uplink transmissions in response to the uplink cancellation indication.
Abstract: Tracking an eye characteristic (e.g., gaze direction or pupil position) of a user's eyes by staggering image capture and using a predicted relationship between the user's eyes between eye captures to predict that eye's eye characteristic between those eye captures. Images of a user's eyes are captured in a staggered manner in the sense that the images of second eye are captured between the capture times of the images of the first eye and vice versa. An eye characteristic of the first eye at the capture times is determined based on the images of the first eye at those times. In addition, the eye characteristic of that first eye is predicted at additional times between captures based on a predicted relationship between the eyes.
