    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for performing fast beam switching in a high-frequency wireless communication environment. Higher frequencies reduce transmission wavelength, which allows for an increased number of antennas and an increased number of beams. Therefore, beams become narrower and are more prone to failure. The UE must be capable of quickly identifying the beam failure and switching to a new beam. Therefore, the UE is capable of receiving multiple beams from the base station and configures both for testing and immediate use. In some cases, the UE can receive multiple beams for testing and assumes a default beam while feeding back to the base station a preferred beam. To support the larger number of available beams, MAC-CE and DCI are modified to identify this increased number of states. Alternatively, two MAC-CEs are sent, each containing a different group of states, and the DCI identifies both the group and the selected state.

An eye characteristic of the first eye at the capture times is determined based on the images of the first eye at those times.     Abstract: This application describes methods and apparatus to allocate uplink (UL) power dynamically across multiple parallel radio frequency links for wireless devices. The wireless device sets an initial maximum transmit power level (MTPL) for each UL radio link of multiple radio links used for UL traffic based on a duty cycle prediction for the respective UL radio link. The wireless device adjusts the initial MTPL for each UL radio link based on a predicted data throughput for the UL radio link relative to a total predicted data throughput for all UL radio links. The adjusted MTPL for each UL radio link can be also reduced when the UL radio link uses UL multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmission via multiple antenna ports, e.g., by apportioning the adjusted MTPL among the multiple antenna ports of the UL radio link equally.

In some embodiments, memory circuitry includes memory cells configured to store data, interface circuitry, and on-die error correcting code (ECC) circuitry. The ECC circuitry may check read data from the memory cells for errors and correct detected correctable errors to generate corrected data. The memory circuitry may provide read data to a requesting circuit via the interface circuitry, including one or more sets of corrected data from the on-die ECC circuitry. The memory circuitry may provide a decoding status flag (DSF) via the interface circuitry, including to: set the DSF to a first value in response to no error being detected for a given set of provided read data, set the DSF to a second value in response to a correctable error that was detected and corrected by the on-die ECC circuitry to provide a given set of read data, and set the DSF to a third value in response to an uncorrectable error detected by the on-die ECC circuitry.

A UE performing prioritized resource selection may use a sensing window to determine availability of resources within a prioritized resource selection window with a high reliability, thereby reducing the need to spend power on other sensing methods (which may include full sensing methods). Combinations of these embodiments are also contemplated.

    Abstract: Fiducial patterns that produce 2D Barker code-like diffraction patterns at a camera sensor are etched or otherwise provided on a cover glass in front of a camera. 2D Barker code kernels, when cross-correlated with the diffraction patterns captured in images by the camera, provide sharp cross-correlation peaks. Misalignment of the cover glass with respect to the camera can be derived by detecting shifts in the location of the detected peaks with respect to calibrated locations. Devices that include multiple cameras behind a cover glass with one or more fiducials on the cover glass in front of each camera are also described. The diffraction patterns caused by the fiducials at the various cameras may be analyzed to detect movement or distortion of the cover glass in multiple degrees of freedom.
